A Fruitless Bother

The web site only offers a download of the Razer Synapse management software, so I installed that and went through the fully unnecessary process of giving it my address and registering the headset, only to find that this particular headset is not compatible with Synapse. Also the included 7.1 Surround Sound software didn't improve the audio from either my speakers or the headset compared to my default drivers. I think it's only useful if you've actually got seven speakers, but then surely you'd already have proper software for them? I'll give it two stars because by golly do they cancel noise, I could barely hear my neighbors setting off their Memorial Day fireworks.
