Razer Ultimate 7.1 Surround Sound - Wireless

this product of headsets are really great! i use them for xbox series s/x by plugging into the bottom of the controller, and downloading/purchasing the DTS X App for surround sound. the Razer Nari Ultimate 7.1 surround Sound Headphones are a ideal replacement if you had used the Turtle Beach x42 for xbox 360 and Turtle Beach Elite 800x for XBox One. Xbox Series S/X have a system built flaw where there is No Optical Input. These headphones and DTS X App, allow me to pinpoint exact locations, and get the drop on ahead of time on other players who try to be sneaky. it allows a lot of cues to be picked up and can hear every little sound through out the game. These headphone also work well with Playstation 4/5 by having a secret dongle location on the bottom of the earcup where its removed. Like any other headset on Xbox or Playstation do not forget to go into settings and change the output of the headset.

I got this when my turtle beach broke. These are comfy , the sound quality is great, if you crank up the volume the triggers in your headset vibrates, its kinda cool, but i just take it down a notch so i dont get that. I like that vibrational audio only once in a while

The sound and haptic tech are awesome, really when I first used them I was blown away. However, there are some major problems people should be a aware of. First, they are NOT fully compatible with PS4 as advertised. The chat/game balance adjuster only works with computer, making these headphones less than ideal for party play. Loud background noises completely drown out your teammates. Second, there are some apparent design flaws. The USB dongle is flimsy and although my headphones are only a month old, I have to jiggle it around to get my devices to recognize it. I'm hoping this doesn't get worse, or the headphones were be unusable. Also, the chat/party volume toggle on my pair has a spot (right in the center where it is notched to be most balanced) that causes my sound to become choppy, cut in and out, and pan wildly between the speakers. I was coming here today to return them, but apparently I'm 4 days too late. I would only buy these again if I was rich, and only to experience the haptic technology, which works very, very well.

These are light and sturdy. The build quality on them is great and the battery life is pretty nice. The life they display on the packaging is if you turn off all the bells and whistles. In order to charge the headset properly make sure you turn off the haptics BEFORE you turn off the headphones. It is a weird little problem but my headset wouldn't charge for a day or so and I couldn't figure out why. Some internet sleuthing eventually brought me to turn haptics off and they charge just fine after it. The default audio on everything is set to stereo and you have to change it manually to 3D if that's what you desire for every app. There is a button to set it to 3D automatically but that doesn't seem to always work. Overall these are great and the haptics really make a difference. It feels like there is more punchy bass than there really is and in FPS games the extra punch is really nice during gunfire. It does kill the batteries fairly quickly though.

Bought a pair for PS4 originally, thinking the haptic feature would come in hand playing with buddies on Battle Royale games. It does give you an edge makes you feel like your in it but youll have to mute your friends for max efficiency. The Game/Chat volume is on the same frequency so your friend is as loud as the game cannot be fixed for console. OTHER THAN THAT!! PC fully compatible and music, movies, solo console games its practically surround sound on the go. 3 star for not being fully functionable on console.

Amazing headset, razer hypersense is a pretty neat feature. The only thing i do not like is the battery, in order to use hypersense you have to have it constantly charging

I fell in love with the Razer Nari Ultimate. The haptic feedback gove you an extra layer of immersion, and while listening to music, it vibrates to the low tones giving a more concert feel. Once you use these, normal headphones jus just won't cut it. One last thing, they are super comfortable for long gaming sessions

I bought these headphones in 2020 and have used them ever since. I loved the game/chat balance and the audio is super good. The microphone isn’t the best and sometimes picks up audio playing from the headphones if the volume is pretty high. However, out of the blue one day the microphone volume was extremely quiet. Then the headphones stopped turning on all together. I went a purchased a second pair (brand new) and still was having the microphone issues. After speaking with Razer customer support and Windows support, the issue has still not resolved. I even completely wiped the computer and did a reset and the microphone was still extremely quiet. However, the headset microphone worked just fine on my laptop. Different headsets also worked when plugged into my PC. I loved the headset but it has been extremely frustrating dealing with the microphone issue.

Sound great on Bluetooth. The dongle is stored inside the headset fyi. Just need to push it to release it then plug it in to your device (after going online and pairing it to the headset, don’t skip that step). Corded it sounds ok, but run it through a headphone amp and it’s outstanding. Got it on sale so I think for the price I got it for, it’s a great value ($100).

This headset is by far one of the best that i have bought in a VERY long time. the haptic feedback just from listening to RoadHog from overwatch walk around is insane. makes movies feel like an at home theater, the only down side is the mic, its far from the worst mic ive used but far from the best as well.

TL;DR: Not worth the price. The audio is great but that is literally it. I have had this for a little over a year now and when I first got it, I was in love with it. This lasted a couple of months until I started to get tired of it. This headset is HEAVY. Out of all the headsets I have had before like the Corsair Void, Steelseries Arctis V, and Astro A50, this headset is BY FAR the heaviest. After about 30 minutes my neck tends to get sore. Also, because of the weight, it sits VERY heavy against your ears, which gives it a nice seal, but also doesn't allow the skin around your ears to breathe very well. The battery life is average at best. Every other wireless headset I have had before has never died on me while gaming after a full charge. This one does it almost daily. I would have loved it if, for at a price as steep as this one is, they wouldn't have skimped on a decent battery. The audio quality is actually pretty amazing. At $200 you would HOPE so, but its still impressive. The bass is deep, you hear many details in sounds that my previous headsets couldn't really pick up, and it can get LOUD. The only downside is that if you're playing audio from more than one source, like YouTube/Twitch, Spotify, and a game at once, it tends to not play any of it clearly and just tends to become extremely staticky and distorted. I have never experienced this with any other headset, no matter how cheap. The mic quality is absolutely, completely, unapologetically T E R R I B L E. No matter the settings I tried in the software it forces you to use, it sounded like I would just stop talking mid sentence. Everything you say sounds like you are talking through a pillow, from an adjacent room, from a different floor. Any time your raise or lower your voice, it gets distorted and cuts out. But after all of that, when it DOES manage to actually work, the quality is worse than my laptop mic from 2014. Every integrated mic on every other headset I have owned have blown this one away. Normally I'd forgive it, but this thing is way too expensive for the mic to be this garbage. The software. Not much to say here, Razer Synapse is required to turn off/on any of the features it has. It's pretty annoying to use sometimes and the menus are very unintuitive, but luckily you wont be spending much time in them. The extra features are kinda cool. The haptic feedback is a cool gimmick, but it just gets very distracting. I turned it off after only a couple days after I first got it, haven't turned it back on since. The rgb syncing with other Razer devices is cool if you're into that sort of thing. The spatial audio is neat and the EQ settings are pretty in depth. The price is too steep. This was almost as expensive as when I purchased the Astro A50s a couple years ago. This is my second pair of pricey headphones and just like the A50s, I just cant justify dropping that kind of money on something so mediocre in everything except audio quality. Now for the thing that makes this thing go from a 3 or maybe 4 star item to a 2 star (I was VERY close to giving it a 1 star): The range. Its awful. I have a recliner 5 feet behind my computer. When I sit in it, my headset struggles to stay connected. When I walk past it, it disconnects. I walk out the door that is directly beside my desk? Disconnects. I get up to open my door? Disconnects. I walk anywhere that is not within arms reach of the receiver on the front of my computer? Disconnects. It is a wireless headset. My Arctis V, which is a wired headset, has a longer cord than this headset has range. Every single wireless headset I have ever had has gotten at least 20 ft. of range out of it before its starts to lose connectivity, the Corsair Void got close to FIFTY feet before disconnecting. I could write an entire article detailing why I HATE this design oversite more than any other, but I hope you get my point.
