I've noted this before, but I do love the look and consistency of Razer's brand and packaging along with the thought being put into their product presentation when unboxing. It is very industrial looking with just the right minimalist touch. Inside, you get the mic, a small stand off and the base and you attach all three together. You also get a USB-A to USB-C cord. I like that Razer has standardized on USB-C for everything on their end and USB-A on the computer end. Once everything is attached and plugged in if you don't have Synapse 3 software installed you will be prompted to install it if you so desire. For basic functionality you do not need the software and the mic as is will work as a standard USB mic immediately detected and installed by Windows. It will then show up in your device manager ready to go. If you do want access to the extra configurability offered, you will need Synapse 3 software. I like the all black look of the Seiren. It has just enough height and heft with a quality build and feel. Use is easy as you tap the top of the mic to enable and disable the mic and its status is shown with an indicator light showing either red (off) or green (on). The mic itself can move/pivot in 360 degrees when connected to the base for about 15-20 degrees in all directions. I'm not quite sure how that will help much but it's there. Being wired, you will be tethered to the device you're recording with but you can always use a different cable length for a bit of flexibility. I did some basic testing for voice recording (pod cast), distance test and open speaker streaming and headphone streaming. For up close voice recording, it is very good especially at this price point. You will need to be within 5-10 inches of the mic for best pic up for clarity and richness of voice. Moving farther away and you will start to quickly lose pickup, richness and mid/bass. This is a personal mic and not one you can sit among a small group and everyone talk and get equal levels of pickup, richness of tone or level. Anything beyond at best a foot away and you are best served with a lapel mic. The small size and detachable base does make it somewhat compatible with many universal boom arms. For streaming, it is very sensetive and not noise isolating for voice. It tends to pick up on a lot of ambient sound like slight movements, keyboard clicks, mouse noise even if it is hollow pick up because of some distance. If it is sitting on the desk while you type/play, remember the Seiren will be just about as close to you as your keyboard if not closer. For gaming with friends or streaming, a headset is mandatory unless you want everyone to get into your gaming sounds and environment while you try to speak. So where does that leave the Seiren? While it is a very good up close mic, it is best used for maybe single voice pod casting (unless you want to pass it around back and forth or have other mics wired in) or gaming with a good set of headphones and you want a bit better quality voice than many headsets can afford. You can always leave the channel open or tap the top as needed when speaking. The open/close channel light makes it very easy to know when you're hot or not. Having to lean down a bit to use it for better clarity if you're not using a boom arm of some sort would get tedious and tiring after a very short while especially for game streaming. If you have a use case for a decent quality standing mic for somewhat close up recording/use and want good, decent quality recordings, the Seiren is a well priced pick but be wary of limitations in other scenarios.

The Razer Seiren V3 Mini condenser microphone is a very simple and high quality recording device for gaming chat, streaming, or recording. Literally plug and play, you can use it seconds after connecting it via USB (somewhat oddly, one end of the cable is Type C and the other is Type A). Other than configuring Windows audio to choose it as the recording device, that's all you *have* to do. However, if you'd like a little more control and access to a stream mixer, you can download Razer's Synapse software to enable those controls. (Out of curiosity, I also plugged it into a Chromebook, which was also plug and play. Obviously Synapse is unavailable for it). Like all Razer products I have ever dealt with, the build quality is top-notch. The bottom of the base is covered in a soft, somewhat slip resistant material. Putting the whole thing together takes just seconds--attach the neck to the base and the mic itself. The base has flexible joint allowing you to pivot the entire mic at angle in any direction. There are no physical buttons save a tap to mute button the top, and a small indicator light lets you know if your mic is on or muted. The USB wire, which has thematically green accents on both ends, attaches to the base of the mic via a USB-C port. The overall setup ends up quite compact so serves very well for being unobtrusive or taking up little space. I found the sound really very clear from this. I suppose the sound isolation qualities will vary with environment, but I tried testing in a room with two 3-D printers both working making background noise, and they were completely inaudible while my voice was crystal clear. I came away impressed enough that while this intended for gamers using voice chat or streaming, it might well be versatile enough for some wider uses. For users who don't want to take much desk space, or who are perhaps on the go and want something smaller and easier to pack up, but don't want to sacrifice on audio quality, I think this microphone does the trick. It's well built, easy to use, and most importantly, sounds great.

    Amazing Voice and Sound Clarity!

This mic is powerful at picking up sounds. I have tested it at various distances and tones of voice, as well as recorded several types of sounds and it has picked them all up with a crisp clearness that I am unused to. First, though, let’s backtrack to unboxing and set-up. The box includes a USB-A to USB-C cord, a stand, and the mic. Set-up takes about two minutes, after which it is ready to plug into a device and go. Look and Build The mic is very well-made and sturdy. It has 360-tilt capability and stays exactly where it is placed, there is no unwanted swivel or sway from it. It can easily be detached from the stand to attach it to a boom arm as well. As for the stand, it has good weight, center of gravity, and stays perfectly balanced on a flat surface. There is a touch mute button at the top that works instantaneously. Sound capture As I mentioned, the sound it captures is amazing. I can have it next to my mouth or have it feet away from me and it somehow manages to sound the same. I can talk at a low volume or even whisper into it and my voice still sounds flawless and perfectly audible. Even when I talked away from it – to the left, right, up, or down, - it still recorded my voice as if my mouth was up close to it. The only time there was a difference was when I spoke with my back to it, it was still clear but sounder further and echoed. While I did notice some voice isolation with it, it still catches every sound around me. For example, when I talk while tapping on my keyboard, it makes the sound of my voice stand out clearly, but the tapping is still highly audible. Additionally, it can capture sound from 10 feet aways exceptionally well. This is both a good thing and a bad thing. Anyone speaking from that distance is clearly audible in the background. The mic picked up the water cooler filling water from eight feet away as if it was next to it, the clanking of forks and spoons in the kitchen eleven feet away, and even my kids playing outside. Consequently, I am not sold on the voice isolation feature and have to deduct a star. Still, the fact that all of these sounds are picked up so clearly is just amazing to me. App Razer’s app, Razer Synapse, provides a platform for customizing audio controls easily. It is quick and easy to download, especially if you already have other Razer products and it is intuitive to use. Final Notes All things accounted for, I rank this as a top-notch microphone that is a great addition to a streamer’s repertoire or even for those needing a mic for other purposes. Of course, the caveat is that you are recording a quiet area. If background noise is an issue, then perhaps this is not the best choice.

Razer is known for their gaming products but the Seiren v3 Mini looks good enough and is just a practical, solid microphone that does well for work, play, streaming, voice-overing and even recording music. I actually do some recording for work where I demo software or document workflows, so I like being able to record using something better than headphone microphones. You just get a lot more bass and clarity without the flat modulation you get on cheaper microphones with this unit which is great. It also looks discreet and professional on a desk without looking too blingy or gaudy with RGB everywhere if you’re worried about what others think of your desk. The super cardioid feature is like beam focusing tech for your voice and does a decent job of only picking up sound in front of the mic, but if you have a loud keyboard and you’re a loud typer like I am, the microphone will still pick some of this up. Also, it still works best with headphones so if you use speakers or a soundbar you’ll hear some background noise as well. The Synapse software really isn’t needed for this Seiren mini, there’s no advanced settings that I can see because there’s no RGB and you can mute the mic by just hitting the capacitive touch button on top. Input gain for the microphone can be controlled in Windows and everything was just plug and play without needing additional software. For the price, if you value voice clarity for gaming, chat, voip calls, etc this is a solid pickup for the price.

This is the first microphone I have ever owned and I like it. The Razer Seiren V2 mini microphone is small in size, but very effective. The microphone threads onto a well balanced base. The unit connects by USB A to C plug. The plug and play aspect of it makes it easy and fast to use out of of the box. The microphone links you to an install of a program and in a few minutes you are good to go. There is an led light that affirms connection. The microphone works with Windows 10 or greater versions. Others tell me that my sound quality is very good. I am amazed that the quality is as good as it is in such a compact microphone. What I find very good is that the microphone does a great job of focusing on the voice sound at the microphone versus the background sound in the area. Very clear enunciation is picked up and transmitted by this microphone. They call it voice isolation. Whatever they name it I say it is quite effective. There is no "voice pop" which is great for those podcasting. The tap to mute function by tapping on the top of the microphone is both convenient and a good feature. The microphone comes in black, white, and quartz. It comes with a 1 year warranty and I anticipate many years of use. For those gamers or podcast users this is a very good choice of microphone. I have used it in 2 zoom meetings to date and it will be my microphone going forward. Razer had a good product here.

The Razer Seiren has completely exceeded my expectations! From the moment I plugged it in, the sound quality was night and day compared to my old mic. My voice comes through crisp, clear, and professional—perfect for streaming, recording, or even casual Discord chats. The build quality is solid and feels premium, with a clean, minimal look that fits perfectly into my setup. I especially love the built-in mute button and the real-time monitoring through the headphone jack—super convenient during live streams or recordings. Setup was plug-and-play, and the included stand is sturdy and adjustable. It also picks up very little background noise, which is a huge plus if you’re in a noisier room. If you’re looking for a reliable, high-quality mic without breaking the bank, the Razer Seiren is 100% worth it. Highly recommend for streamers, podcasters, or anyone who wants their voice to sound top-tier.

The Razer-Seiren V3 Mini Wired Ultra-compact Condenser USB -Microphone is an excellent choice for utilizing voice recordings and streaming content. The microphone has the capability of beiing tilted by 10 degrees. In addition to this, there is a mute button that feels like a pad at the very top. This gives one the ability to tap mute and unmute with ease. This can be done very quickly. You can change the buttons function through the Razer Center Program. I like this feature. The microphone doesn't pick up on background noise, which is important when making your recordings. The voice quality is clear. When you first plug the microphone in, the Razer software is installed. The software allows you to use Alexa. Pros: Easy to Install No background noise Voice quality Mute and unmute feature Microphone is not bulky Red and Green Indicator Light Portable for traveling Cons: Currently have no cons at the moment. Overall a great product and yes I would recommend this microphone to a friend or family member.
