My son saved up money to buy this, not sure where he saw it and decided he wanted it but we got it. Even though he knew it had a cord he was willing to try it, not sure if he would like it.......he didn't like it went back to his cordless and we returned it, can't say if worth it out not

I will never buy from Best Buy again...employee sold me warrenty for this item...told me it would cover damage...my new puppy broke the mouse when I took it back they wouldn't honor the warrenty. I will never shop at Best Buy again

Sensitivity on the Taipan mouse is better than my older mouse, which only maxed out at 5600 DPI. I am amazed by the combination of laser and optical technology rather than one single form of accuracy. Form factor wise, it feels less bulky where my wrist to palm arch angle is less; which equals less wrist pain for me and don't have to stretch my fingers to its extent. As far as buttons goes, I wish the side buttons were my notable, especially the ones on the right because the pinky, I should say, has limited "reflex" ability than your thumb or pointing finger. On the side note, not sure if its worth $80 retail just for 8200 DPI, extra 2 annoying buttons on the right side, and gold plated USB connector. the "value" worth will depend from person to person

I recently purchased this mouse at my best buy for $60, so far I am very pleased. Pros: Compatibility Good Price Great Quality Easy to use Ungodly responsiveness BUTTANSSS Looks cool The adjustable sensitivity is pretty cool to have Cons: Feels kind of small in my hand (glove size:l-xl) Other than that, buy this mouse now instead of waiting for your old one to die.

I use my mouse probably 16 hours a day. I use several applications while working as a 3D Game Developer and 3D Graphics Artist. The Taipan really helps speed up my work flow. The Taipan allows me to switch between multiple applications each of which are specially programed with macros and hotkeys. While using 5 or more apps the Taipan switches on the fly. Its very comfortable for long hrs! The buttons are the same on both sides. You can lean around corners while gaming with ease. I am going to buy 2 more of these to keep for backups tomorrow. This will be in my arsenal for many years! AWESOME MOUSE BUY THIS ONE!!!!!!!

I do gaming and graphic design. This mouse allows me to be pin point accurate one minute and switch to fast frenzy mode the next. Best mouse I've had in a long time.

For starters this is my first Razer product, and yes its true the hype, its awesome! With 9 programmable buttons this mouse is ideal for gaming and multitasking. I use this mouse for gaming and it works flawlessly. The dpi settings took a second to get use to but that was expected. A great feature that i really was impressed with was the driver for the mouse. Being able to customized my mouse and have cloud support is really useful. For the price this mouse is definitely one of the best on the market by far. Overall I'm very pleased and will be purchasing more Razer products in the future.

Extremely precise and very customizable. It is not very big but enought.
