Good bang for the buck gaming mouse. The DPI is adjustable and the drivers are very intuituive.

If you are buying this for use with a Mac, be aware that you can only customize the R/L mouse buttons and the scroll wheel using the Mac's built in settings. The lighting and the three other buttons can only be customized using the Razer Synapse 3 software which is only available for PCs as of May 2021. Synapse 2 works with the Mac but doesn't support the Razer Viper Mini. Otherwise the mouse works as described, has a nice feel in the hand.

This mouse is extremely good and has no business costing only $40. The cable is flexible and doesn't make movement feel stiff, despite the mouse weighing only 61 grams. I think there are more flexible cables out there, such as the one on the Coolermaster MM710, but this one is still great and both are equally as unnoticeable. The build quality is very solid, no creaking or wobbly parts. The click feeling/switches on the left and right mouse buttons are a huge improvement from the original Viper. They aren't quite at the crispy level of some Logitech mice yet, in my opinion, but that is a worthwhile tradeoff to me, seeing as these switches will never have double click issues. I also found the coating to be nice and grippy, it has a nice texture to it. On paper, the sensor is worse than most mice that use the 3360, but honestly, there are no real world differences between the two. The decision to use this sensor was likely to cut down the price which I welcome very much. There were no spinouts or tracking issues with it at all. Now for the shape and size. Keep in mind this mouse is SMALL. If you have medium sized hands like me, it will take some time to adjust to it. After using it for about 4 days, I can say that I have an easier time aiming in games with smaller mice like these versus larger and heavier mice. Despite the shorter and narrower shape, Razer have kept the height of this mouse the same as its bigger brother. I think this was a great decision because even though I have medium hands, I still feel comfortable holding it because the hump still fills my hand to an extent. The people that I would recommend this mouse to are those who primarily play first person shooters competitively like CS:GO, Rainbow 6 Seige, Overwatch, etc, and Fortnite. For kids, it's a no brainer. For those with medium hands who want to try smaller mice for competitive games, I say go for it. Large hands might find it to be too cramped, but that is for someone else to decide. Here's hoping Razer comes out with a wireless version of the Mini.
