I had mine only a month before I experienced this. Otherwise, great mouse and exactly as advertised.

Its unfortunate you have to leave your PC on for the dock to fully function. You can plug it into a wall outlet, however the RGB lights on the dock won't turn on unless its plugged into a computer.
