I was surprised when I first picked up this mouse as to how light it actually is. It does not feel cheap, rather it has a nice solid quality feel. Razer does a good job of walking the line of perceived quality while maintaining a lightweight 2oz build. The shell itself has an excellent texture to it that offers good grip. Between the lightness, texture and build quality I am reminded of the DJI series of sub 250g drones. The buttons feel great and are satisfyingly tactile. The wheel likewise has a tactile scroll without excess resistance. One somewhat controversial change from the V1 to this V2 that they ditched the wireless charging and dock. For my uses I personally prefer the V2s setup of being able to use a USB-C cord to use this mouse in a wired configuration if needed. I'm also a all for the fact that they got rid of the RGB aspect. I was never a huge fan of RGB to begin with and I'm getting pretty tired of every company thinking they need to include RGB in every single product. One aspect of the V1 I would like to have carried over was the two additional side buttons on the right hand side of the mouse. These are not just handy for lefties, which now have much less reason to use this mouse. All in I like the mouse. It has a comfortable shape for my hand, a nice texture and is extremely lightweight. The two extra buttons from the V1 would have been welcome but all the other changes make this mouse feel more focused.

So I got the white razer mouse and I realized the cursor doesn’t even work when it is wireless. It only works when I connect it to the wire . I believe I was given a broken item and I even watched videos on it.

The Razer Viper V2 Pro is a solid wireless mouse, designed for gaming. I typically use MMORPG style mice as I often play MMORPGs and let me tell you, the Viper V2 is sleek! A lightweight design with smooth finish; however grip stickers are provided if that is more one's style. The mouse is wireless and charged with USB Type-C. Included is a fabric type USB-C charging cable, durable with the razer touch of green on the USB connector. 70-80 Hours of battery life per charge allows for one to easily forget where the charger is before it is needed. Selling point of this mouse is lightweight design allowing for ease of use. The key covers make a fantastic audible click when pressed. There are additional 2 left sided buttons, that are easy to access with the thumb. There is not RGB, which is something I often prefer, but it was removed to reduce weight. The mouse is equipped with a 30k optical sensor for quick responsiveness, accuracy, and modifiable DPI. There is ultrafine adjustments to allow for the most precise of movements. Going off this, there is various surface compatibility, which allows me to play on my gaming laptop both at desk, couch, table, and on the go. I have not had the opportunity yet, but there is also glass capability (if 2mm thick). DPI may be toggled between without having the program (currently Razer Synapse) installed. This allows for more precise setting adjustment along with remapping of buttons. I have found this mouse ease of use at such a great advantage that I have started using it not only at home but with my work computer. Not too many places I go without having the mouse on me!

Came in with a faulty dongle, it wouldn’t connect. It seems like it’s a common issue. And with my previous experience with the Razer Ultimate wireless, I’m not taking my chances. I’ll stick with my logitech wireless superlight

    Ambidextrous-- Sort of

Razer bills it's Viper V2 Pro as an ambidextrous design, but in reality due to side button placement, this is effectively a right handed mouse. It's great as a wireless mouse. Stayed charged for me at least 22 hours. I charged it after that, though it still had plenty of life left. It's nice to have a USB-C port, makes cable management easy. This is a highly responsive gaming mouse, but really mostly for FPS and Battle Royale games. You'll most likely want something else with more buttons for MOBA, MMO/MMORPG games. The Viper V2 Pro has a good feel to it, with positive mouse button click feel/feedback. The included grip tape lets you customize where you want/need your grip the most. While anyone can use it, fingertip grip style people will especially love it. It's also good as an everyday mouse. Which is where it lost part of a star for me, If I could rate 4.5 I would. When using the scroll wheel to get through documents and such for work, it would intermittently stop scrolling for a few seconds. It didn't happen in game, however it's concerning. Strictly rating it on gaming only, a 5 all the way. My only gripe is that due to it's light weight, the mouse feels fragile or like it won't last. The low weight is a major benefit for those who want the lightest wireless mouse they can get. Hard to go wrong with one of these as your mouse.

Perfect Gaming Mouse for FPS Gamers

When I first took the Razor Viper V2 Pro out of the box, I couldn't believe how light it was. It has a simple sleek look to it. I immediately added the grips that came with it, which I prefer when gaming long hours. The grips seemed better than past grips I have used. The mouse feels extremely comfortable in my hand. (Note: I would consider my hands to medium size). It felt as if the mouse was an extension of my arm. I was super excited to put it to the test. I play a lot of FPS games such as COD, Escape From Tarcov, Pubg, Destiny 2, Apex, and quite a few others others. First night of gaming I played some PUBG and couldn't believe how responsive the V2 Pro was. I felt no latency at all and the tracking performance was flawless during game play. To be honest, this is the lightest mouse I have ever played with and after 4 days using it, I am sold! Mouse is still charged and going strong which is a huge plus when gaming long hours. The only con for me which is just a personal preference, is that I wish they would have included a little RGB, since everything I have is lit. Although this mouse may seem a little spendy, trust me when I say it is worth it, especially if you are a serious gamer. Top performing mouse for me and highly recommend.

Cool wireless mouse without the wireless part

I got one - the dongle was dead on arrival. I returned it hoping to get a working dongle and mouse. Get the second one - the dongle was dead on arrival. The primary thing that's being touted is the insane wireless capabilities that it has, but simultaneously giving me the product without that specific feature twice is just not a good feeling as a consumer. I 100% do not recommend this mouse for its wireless capabilities, as if you receive it initially and it doesn't work, well, you'll have to return it and hope. I suggest taking your money elsewhere, as Logitech has a competitive mouse or even Glorious with its model O series. If I could give this 0/5, I would.

Overpriced piece of trash, was creaking like crazy out of the box. Sidewalls on the mouse also flexed like crazy even in normal use, and it felt horrible. I do not recommend especially at this price.

    Ultralight gaming mouse

I've been a long time Razer fanboy going all the way back to the original Boomslang ball mouse (somewhere in a box in storage and probably still works). I loved that mouse so much that I bought the optical version once Razer (the company) resurrected from ashes. Onto the new ultralight version of the Viper. I'm not an eSports guy so I might not appreciate all the features and honestly I like some weight on my mouse. I used to purchase mice with custom weights and always adding the max weights but recently I've been getting some of the lightweight wired mice. It does have a great grip, fitting my hand nicely with buttons easily in reach. I do like the optional die cut grip material they provide on a sheet that you can peel and stick to add texture. I really like this feature because it does feel like it gives me a better grip on such a light device. It does have a 30K optical sensor which makes it extremely fast but I personally will gear that down while I play the FPS games I usually play. One thing missing for me is the DPI on the fly buttons on top by the scroll wheel. Instead they put the button on the bottom... REALLY??? THE BOTTOM??? I play some FPS games that I like switching to a slower response so I don't overshoot my aimpoint. Putting the DPI switch on the bottom does not let me switch on the fly. It is rechargable and comes with a very flexible braided USB C cord for both direct plug in or you can use the USB adapter with the cable as a remote mount for the 2.4Hz dongle. I have yet drained the battery so the charges last a good while. The good part is if you do drain the battery you just plug in the USB A to USB C cable to the mouse and you can use it as a regular wired mouse while it's charging. I'm surprised that Razer didn't provide a dock for this mouse like the Viper Ultimate. There is no place to stow the USB transceiver if you toss the mouse in a laptop bag... easy to lose! Just ask how many transceivers I've had to purchase off eBay. My biggest fuss is about Razer Synapse software. I've mentioned in a few other Razer reviews that I really don't like Synapse. I had install issues with the software however the latest version installs much better than the previous versions that hosed my Windows install. I also don't like the fact that when I boot I always get a notification to install Synapse as the system recognizes the Viper. I have yet to find a way to opt out of installing Synapse. Don't get me wrong, Synapse has some nice features and allows you to customize the buttons on the Viper but I mostly use the default Windows mouse settings so it's just annoying at this point. I also have a problem with the current price point. At $150 there are other options available, even in the Razer line, that might be a better choice. If you are already in the Razer ecosystem or wanting to move to it the Viper V2 Pro would be a nice addition to your gear. If you like some of the ultralight wired version mice then the Viper might be a good add for you as well.

Razer - Viper V2 Pro Wireless Optical Gaming Mouse The first thing to say about Razer V2 Pro is good grief is this thing light. I have always preferred a lightweight mouse. So any mouse I have had that came with weights I have never used them. But the Razer Viper V2 Pro is at a whole other level here. And why is that a preference for me, well it’s just faster for gaming and less fatiguing. And I can imagine if you travel with it you will love it. This is the mouse I would have made if I was designing one. It is very comfortable not just for gaming but for any use. The form factor is very much like their famous DeathAdder Pro which is really a legend among gaming mice. So if you like that feel it is mostly here but without the cable and weight. I have been on the same charge for a week of all day use. Razer claims it takes four hours to charge a low battery. The single LED on the top will blink when the battery gets low. I like that it is not overdone with buttons I will never use. And the buttons and mouse wheel are up to Razer quality. If I had one complaint about this mouse is that maybe the right and left buttons could be a bit quieter. It's not anything you would hear gaming but it might be a problem in a crowded office. Similar to why you should be very careful with what type of keys you would use on a mechanical keyboards if you are using one in an office. I am hoping it will quiet down with use but it is not enough to detract from what makes this such a great mouse. Along with the mouse you get a high quality USB type C braided cable, mouse grip tape you can apply and a neat docking adapter you can put the wireless receiver in if you have any connection issues. I didn’t need it but it's nice that it was included. I don’t find it an issue but to change the DPI setting there is a button on the bottom of the mouse. That could be a deal breaker if you are a gamer who switches DPI settings in game. The one LED light on the top indicates which DPI mode you're in. I typically don’t switch DPI settings so that isn’t an issue for me. And yes no RGB which Razer is famous for won’t be found on display here. I was never a big fan of RGB on a wireless mouse as it will drain the battery. Also other than telling me the DPI setting I never understood the value of RGB on a mouse. For a keyboard RGB makes great sense, but I am not convinced of the value of RGB on a mouse, especially on a wireless mouse. For full disclosure here I did not install the Razer software. As soon as I plugged it in the software came up to be installed from the Windows store. I elected not to install it. I use a KVM switch at my desktop to switch between four computers all day and I preferred to not install software on them. The good news is I don’t see any functions I need that require the software. That is perfect for me and another reason I am very much liking this mouse. If you're looking for RGB this is not it. If you are looking for a great wireless gaming mouse, heck just a great mouse overall I can highly recommend the Viper V2 Pro. And good grief is this thing light.

I've been using the RAZER Viper V2 PRO ultra lightweight Esports mouse for the last three days. Overall, I think it's a fantastic wireless gaming mouse that went above and beyond my expectations for design and performance. When I unboxed it I was extremely surprised at how deceivingly lightweight and perfectly balanced it is. It seriously feels like the mouse is empty. Which is great because if I play competitively the last thing I want to feel is wrist fatigue. Additionally, The mouse charged very quickly and the battery life was excellent. After three days of heavy use it only lost 10 percent of its capacity. The wireless connection is flawless. I never noticed any lag stutter or erroneous double clicks. Also, I love that I can pre-set multiple DPI settings in the Synapse software. Furthermore I love that I can change the DPI level with a touch of a button. This is a seriously a great mouse and if you are a competitive gamer that needs an ultra light mouse you will love the Viper V2. I highly recommend it.
