Razer - Viper V2 Pro Wireless Optical Gaming Mouse The first thing to say about Razer V2 Pro is good grief is this thing light. I have always preferred a lightweight mouse. So any mouse I have had that came with weights I have never used them. But the Razer Viper V2 Pro is at a whole other level here. And why is that a preference for me, well it’s just faster for gaming and less fatiguing. And I can imagine if you travel with it you will love it. This is the mouse I would have made if I was designing one. It is very comfortable not just for gaming but for any use. The form factor is very much like their famous DeathAdder Pro which is really a legend among gaming mice. So if you like that feel it is mostly here but without the cable and weight. I have been on the same charge for a week of all day use. Razer claims it takes four hours to charge a low battery. The single LED on the top will blink when the battery gets low. I like that it is not overdone with buttons I will never use. And the buttons and mouse wheel are up to Razer quality. If I had one complaint about this mouse is that maybe the right and left buttons could be a bit quieter. It's not anything you would hear gaming but it might be a problem in a crowded office. Similar to why you should be very careful with what type of keys you would use on a mechanical keyboards if you are using one in an office. I am hoping it will quiet down with use but it is not enough to detract from what makes this such a great mouse. Along with the mouse you get a high quality USB type C braided cable, mouse grip tape you can apply and a neat docking adapter you can put the wireless receiver in if you have any connection issues. I didn’t need it but it's nice that it was included. I don’t find it an issue but to change the DPI setting there is a button on the bottom of the mouse. That could be a deal breaker if you are a gamer who switches DPI settings in game. The one LED light on the top indicates which DPI mode you're in. I typically don’t switch DPI settings so that isn’t an issue for me. And yes no RGB which Razer is famous for won’t be found on display here. I was never a big fan of RGB on a wireless mouse as it will drain the battery. Also other than telling me the DPI setting I never understood the value of RGB on a mouse. For a keyboard RGB makes great sense, but I am not convinced of the value of RGB on a mouse, especially on a wireless mouse. For full disclosure here I did not install the Razer software. As soon as I plugged it in the software came up to be installed from the Windows store. I elected not to install it. I use a KVM switch at my desktop to switch between four computers all day and I preferred to not install software on them. The good news is I don’t see any functions I need that require the software. That is perfect for me and another reason I am very much liking this mouse. If you're looking for RGB this is not it. If you are looking for a great wireless gaming mouse, heck just a great mouse overall I can highly recommend the Viper V2 Pro. And good grief is this thing light.

    Don't Brick Your Recievers

This mouse is a coin flip, I forget the process but if you don't turn it on in a specific way, it will brick the receiver. Then you can only use it in wired mode. Youtube problems for this mouse. I bought the pro superlight in red when I went to replace this mouse, it's been so much nicer to use and plug and play.

Best Gaming Mouse I've Ever Used

The title says it all. This is by far, the best gaming mouse I have ever used. The Razer Viper V2 is an ultra-light, wireless 30,000 DPI gaming mouse. When they say ultra-light, they mean it! This is one of the lightest gaming mice I have ever used, and it just glides over any surface like butter. You can switch between 5 DPI setting by pressing the button on the bottom of the mouse. I wish this were a little bit more easily accessible. It would be really nice to just be able to quickly swap DPIs in the middle of a game without having to stop what you're doing. Other than that, this mouse is nearly flawless. It feels really comfortable in the hand. The clicks are nice and pronounced. It is really simple, and not overly complex like some gaming mice can be. It just features left/right/center buttons, a scroll wheel, and two extra buttons near the thumb(if you're right handed). No RGB lighting, no extra buttons, no fans, or anything else really crazy. Heck, even the logo is really subdued, and you can even see it unless you look at the right angle. This is not the mouse for you if you're looking for something that makes a big statement. This is as understated as it gets. They really just put everything into performance, and they knocked it out of the park. You can download software to customize your mouse, but really the only things you can customize are the DPI and the functions of the buttons. They give you 5 DPI slots that you can set to anything you want. I actually found the default options perfect. You can go all the way up to 30,000 DPI if you want, but I don't know why you'd ever want to go that high, it just seems unnecessary to me. In-game performance is fantastic. It is really responsive and accurate. And as stated before, the mouse itself is ultra-light and glides so smooth that it really allows you to have so much control in-game. Overall, I just absolutely love this mouse, and would recommend it for anyone looking for a good gaming mouse without all the fluff that usually comes along with them.

    Lightweight and precise gaming mouse

Upping its game for competitive gamers, Razer brings us the ultra-lightweight Viper V2 Pro Wireless Optical gaming mouse. Designed for both comfort and precision, this mouse is a great option to take your gaming to the next level. The Viper V2 Pro has a minimal, sleek aesthetic. It is small mouse with no frills for sure. The device comes packaged with a wireless USB dongle and adapter, a nice USB-A to USB-C Speedflex cable, Razer mouse grip tape, and an information guide. The mouse can be used wired, but the USB dongle allows for a really nice wireless experience. Simply press and hold the power button a few seconds and you're good to go. And battery life is exceptional on the Viper V2, with a single charge providing up to 70 hours of wire-free usage. The standout feature of the Viper V2 Pro is its weight. Coming in at 58g, the mouse moves and glides at ease on any surface or mouse pad. The mouse surface is slightly matte and smooth to the touch, but if you're like me and prefer a more solid, grippable texture, the Viper V2 Pro comes packaged with grip tape for a quick makeover of the sides and top buttons. It really feels responsive, which can be attributed to the Razer Focus Pro 30k optical sensor. The cursor flies across the screen with the smallest hand movement, but all within control. The scroll wheel has only the click-through option, no auto-scroll or smooth scrolling, so some zooming in and out during gameplay was a bit restrictive. The buttons each have a mechanical click to each press, which depending on your preference can be comforting or tiresome to listen to after a while. The Viper V2 Pro gaming mouse has some nice features that can really enhance a gamer's experience. Its lightweight, minimal design can alleviate stress to your hand during long gaming sessions, and its responsive, precise optical sensor works spot on in both wired and wireless modes. Overall, it is a great little device and worth checking out. Full disclosure, I received this product for my honest, unbiased review.

I've been using the RAZER Viper V2 PRO ultra lightweight Esports mouse for the last three days. Overall, I think it's a fantastic wireless gaming mouse that went above and beyond my expectations for design and performance. When I unboxed it I was extremely surprised at how deceivingly lightweight and perfectly balanced it is. It seriously feels like the mouse is empty. Which is great because if I play competitively the last thing I want to feel is wrist fatigue. Additionally, The mouse charged very quickly and the battery life was excellent. After three days of heavy use it only lost 10 percent of its capacity. The wireless connection is flawless. I never noticed any lag stutter or erroneous double clicks. Also, I love that I can pre-set multiple DPI settings in the Synapse software. Furthermore I love that I can change the DPI level with a touch of a button. This is a seriously a great mouse and if you are a competitive gamer that needs an ultra light mouse you will love the Viper V2. I highly recommend it.
