Another great Razer product!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Viper V4 Pro is a lightweight (only 49 grams) wireless mouse that's super-comfortable and easy to use. The glide pads make it slide smoothly with or without a mousepad. The contoured shape fits the hand nicely and it comes with optional rubberized tape for extra grip. The package includes a dongle which connects via a 6' braided USB-A to USB-C cable. The dongle is weighted and has a rubberized base to it stays in place and out of the way. The dongle connects to the V4 wirelessly and has three LED lights that serve as status indicators - left LED is for connection status, center for battery life, and right for polling rate. With up to 180 hours of battery life, the center indicator should always be green! But, when necessary, charging is done by simply unplugging the dongle and plugging the cable into the V4. The switches, scroll wheel, and sensors are all optical meaning better precision, and making them over three-times more reliable than mechanical switches, They're also rugged - built to withstand over 100 million clicks! The Razer synapse software unleashes a world of customization - way beyond my needs. I really appreciated the rotation calibration procedure which determines whether swipes are truly horizontal and allows you to adjust accordingly. Mine were 5.9 degrees so not horizontal like I thought! I've tried several other gaming mouse brands over the years and really appreciate the quality and comfort of the Razer products!

Good mouse for gaming
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Razer Viper V4 Pro is an ultra lightweight Optical Gaming mouse that has 180 Hour Battery Life and 8k Polling Rate. The mouse is very lightweight because it does not use AA or AAA batteries like some mouse. The battery for the mouse is inside of the unit and has to be charged via the USB-C cable. The packaging includes a very long USB-A to USB-C cable that’s also braided. It does not come with a charging brick, so you will have to charge it by plugging the cable into your computer or use your own charging brick. The mouse includes a Razer HypeSpeed Wireless Gen-2 dongle. The dongle requires a USB-C cable. With the included cable, you plug the USB-C end into the dongle, and place the USB-A end into your PC. If your PC only has USB-C inputs, you will need some type of dongle to use with it, or your own USB-C to USB-C cable. The mouse is extremely lightweight with the texture being a tad slippery. They provide rubber grip adhesive strips that can be attached to both the left and right mouse buttons, along with the left and right side of the mouse. This help makes the mouse easier to use. The mouse is very fast and responsive while gaming. My only gripe is that I wish the mouse left and right buttons were a bit softer. They loud and clicky. Some people may like that, but I just with they were quieter. Overall, this is a good mouse that’s easy to setup and use for gaming.

A great, versatile mouse for slightly larger hands
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Razer Viper V4 Pro immediately gives off the impression of a refined, top-tier piece of hardware the moment you take it out of the box. This is one of those products where the build quality stands out right away. Everything feels tight, intentional, and well executed. Compared to many of the popular lightweight options coming out of smaller Chinese brands, this feels like a more polished and complete package rather than something chasing specs alone. Getting up and running is refreshingly simple. The included dongle works seamlessly, and the web-based version of Razer Synapse removes a lot of the friction that used to come with setup. It feels streamlined in a way that makes the mouse approachable, whether you are dialing in settings quickly or planning to fine-tune things over time. It is a small detail, but one that makes the overall experience feel more modern and less bloated than previous iterations. The shape is another strong point and will likely be the deciding factor for most people considering it. It feels natural in the hand, with a design that supports a variety of grip styles without forcing you into one specific posture. At 49 grams, the weight is immediately noticeable in a good way. It has that effortless, float-like feeling during movement without crossing into the territory where it feels hollow or fragile. It strikes a balance that makes both fast flicks and controlled tracking feel consistent. The stock skates are also better than expected and do not feel like an afterthought. They glide smoothly right out of the box and pair well with the lightweight design, which means there is no immediate need to swap them out. The scroll wheel follows a similar theme of refinement. It is smooth and quiet, which works well for general use and longer sessions, though it does come with a tradeoff. It is not particularly tactile, so if you prefer a more defined, clicky scroll, this may feel a bit muted. The main buttons deliver a solid feel in terms of actuation force and responsiveness, but there is a small caveat that carries over from the previous generation: a noticeable pinging sound on clicks that can be a little distracting in quieter environments. It does not impact performance, but once you notice it, it is hard to completely ignore. This ends up being one of the few areas where the mouse feels slightly less refined than the rest of the package. Battery life has been excellent in real use. After roughly twenty hours of use over a couple of weeks, it still holds around eighty percent charge, which is impressive for a mouse in this category. Charging over USB-C keeps things simple and consistent with modern setups, and it reinforces the idea that this is a device built with long-term usability in mind. Overall, the Viper V4 Pro feels like a highly refined evolution rather than a risky redesign. It focuses on getting the fundamentals right, with strong build quality, excellent weight balance, and a shape that will appeal to a wide range of users. If the shape fits your hand and you are looking for a top-tier mouse for competitive or serious everyday use, it is difficult to find a better option in this space.

Great lightweight high performance mouse
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great mouse for the majority of right hand gamers and particularly those who enjoy FPS genre of games. Extremely lightweight without having to turn the shell into swiss cheese, high 8k polling rate, optical switches rated for 100m clicks, and an optical scroll wheel. The shape of the mouse is symmetrical, but there is no way to change the forward/back buttons to the other side of the mouse so really its a mouse for righty's. The shape works great for medium to large hands for claw or palm style grip styles, not much has changed over the years in that regard. The weight feels featherlight, but the mouse itself feels solid and doesn't have much flex in the plastics that were used for the shell. The finish on the mouse is more fingerprint resistant than some others, but you'll still need to wipe your greasy gamer finger prints off before showing it to your family. Mouse clicks feel great, but the sound itself is very much tin-canny with kind of a high pitch version of what you would expect a mouse click to sound like. The switches themselves don't have much play and are rated to 100m clicks although I have not been able to independently verify these claims in my ~2 weeks of ownership. Scroll wheel feels really nice to me, and they say it is using a optical encoder so hopefully that feeling stays the same and working well for a long time. Forward and back buttons are fine, not much slop in them, easy to press, not much else to say about those. Tracking has been flawless on my QCK+ deskmat, and thankfully my preferred DPI (800) is a default setting so I have not had a need to install Razers software. Unfortunately there is no way to modify settings without this software, where some companies have started to offer a web based interface to prevent having to install bloatware to adjust something like a DPI setting. Overall performance is great, if you are already in the razer eco system its a fantastic option, and if you don't own anything else Razer its great too but be aware you'll need to install software for customization. If you are looking for a lightweight mouse for quick flick shots in your favorite FPS, make sure to consider the Viper V4 Pro.

Buy this!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Razer Viper V4 Pro Ultra Light weight gaming mouse is absolutely excellent. I didn’t think a mouse could get any lighter than the one I am currently using but I was mistaken. The Viper V4 Pro is so light weight you barely know you have a mouse in your hand. In the box you get the mouse, USB-A to C cable, mouse grip tape and a really cool HyperSpeed wireless dongle. The grip tape is really nice. It has a raised texture to it and is very grippy. The dongle is really cool also. It is weighted so it won’t get pulled off your desk and has LED indicators on the front of it. I’ve been playing a lot of Crimson Desert using this mouse, but also some Arc Raiders and Overwatch. The mouse performs phenomenally in all genres of gaming. It really shines in FPS type games, of course. The mouse movement is so smooth and just feels really good when playing these types of games. Depending on the polling rate you can expect to get 45-180 hours of play time with one charge which is pretty good. Using the software you can customize these settings as well as run the initial firmware update. The software works great by the way! Overall, an amazing mouse that I 100% recommend for any gamer wanting great battery life, super light weight playability and just an all around great experience!

A Fantastic Mouse that Leaves me Wanting More
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a fantastic mouse that I do have some qualms about. I absolutely love how fast and light it is. I have been playing a lot of Deadlock recently which is MOBA mixed with Shooter and boy do I need that speed. I do feel like I could be even more of a gaming threat if I had additional buttons to map my abilities too, but the lightweight and responsiveness is enough to make me happy. This also comes to playing Marathon too. I’ve noticed that I am playing a lot better and taking down other runners much easier. I really like the receiver system! I’ve always wondered how much latency I’m getting by having the USB mouse receiver plugged into the back of my desktop on the ground underneath my desk. Having the receiver on my desk completely eliminates that fear. It is very easy to monitor battery life, latency, and connection from this receiver too which is great! And easy to adjust dpi on the fly by clicking the button on the bottom of the mouse. I mentioned one of my gripes earlier being that I wish it had more buttons for MOBAs. A big con would be that the price is large. I understand it’s a Razer product with a lot of low-latency tech built into it, but it still feels like the lack of customization, especially for esports players which the product specifically calls out (not myself), more customization on the hardware side would be much appreciated at this price point. That includes being able to add or remove weights would be extremely helpful. It’s the lightest mouse I’ve ever tested but I don’t necessarily believe that that is best for everyone. Overall though, I am very happy with this mouse. It’s overall speed, coming from lightweight design and incredible technology allowing for extremely fast tracking and polling rates makes it a great mouse to go with. However, as someone in their MOBA era playing Deadlock, I do wish it had 4 buttons so that I could at least map my 4 abilities to the mouse for even more speed. I’m excited to see what the V5 Pro brings us! Pros: Exceptionally light Lightning fast responsiveness The wireless connection dongle is a smart way to ensure a good connection Easy to adjust DPI on the fly Cons: Price Wish weight could be adjusted Would have liked more buttons for MOBA type games

Great Gaming Mouse
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I found this to be an incredibly fast mouse that is perfect for gaming, which is its intended purpose. I didn’t find it to be so great for office productivity. It struggled to control it well due to how responsive it is. The battery life is outstanding. I used it for several days and barely touched its battery capacity. I wasn’t a fan of the connector. It requires either a USB-C connection or using the extension port that comes with it. Most peripherals give a Bluetooth option, but this one does not. I’m sure this goes back to the intended purpose as a gaming mouse, as Bluetooth introduces latency. It’s not so handy for PC office use. The mouse is very light and the ergonomics are very nice. It is comfortable to use for hours at a time and for several days in a row. It has never lost connectivity and awakens immediately. Overall, this is a great product but it’s important to use it as a gaming mouse. It will work for office productivity, but possibly too fast and too responsive. It is all about one’s preferences and may be great for others.

Awesome Mouse
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Shipping was good. Packaging makes it so it would be incredibly difficult to be damaged in shipping. Once package was opened, everything was clearly separated and identified. The actual packaging for the product was well thought out and helps getting this setup quickly. Mouse worked as Plug and Play. mouse worked with both my Mac and Windows computers. wireless dongle was a nice touch as it seemed to be very responsive. I used this mouse with a couple of first person shooters (CSGO, Battlefield, and CoD) and worked very well. The ability to adjust the mouse sensitivity is great and allows for adjustments that will meet most, if not all needs. The mouse construction also feels good and premium. It is crazy to me how lightweight the mouse is. Half the time I don't even realize it is there until I lift it up. The software that Razer has also works really well and I enjoyed making the mouse feel really personalized. If you're looking for a new mouse and game a lot, this should be a contender for you to look at!

So lightweight and lightning fast
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. With my old gaming mouse having seen better days, it was time to upgrade to something different. Luckily, the opportunity came up to try the new Razer - Viper V4 Pro. Upon opening the box, I found the presentation to be tip top. Nothing makes things feel like quality better than presentation. On one side you have the actual V4 mouse itself, and on the other the wireless polling dongle neatly tucked into their respective places. It's incredible how lightweight and comfortable the V4 feels around your hand. But what is even more impressive is the response time during gaming. It is instant and flawless. What's even better is the battery life. I have been using this mouse for gaming and normal browsing for a few days now and it still has a charge. The dongle also functions as somewhat of an information center, as it monitors connection status, battery life, etc. Just place it somewhere that is out of the way, but where you are still able to see it. It really is an added bonus. Overall, the Viper V4 Pro has been great. I would highly recommend it to anyone.

Mouse is great but I've gotten used to vertical
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This mouse is an upgraded model of the Viper series from Razer and I will say that it reigns supreme in comparison. They made it a little bigger for a more economic feel for the hands. I don't know how but it's much lighter, even with an internal battery. A battery which is more powerful, holding a charge for over a week straight without a dip in performance. Instead of a little dongle it comes with this hefty Bluetooth receiver, which I think might be the reason why the mouse is lightweight, all the Bluetooth technology has been separated. The ergonomic design of the mouse is decent enough for A lengthy gaming session buttons are strategically placed so as to disrupt hand placement. My only gripe was that I wish it were vertical to satisfy the natural state of a resting wrist. Clicks are extremely quiet and responsive and the scroll wheel is very precise and sensitive. The majority of the world are right-handed like myself. I just wish there was an option like this for left-handed people.

Great at what it does
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have never been a huge fan of a super lightweight mouse while gaming. My mouse needs to have a little heft to it and I don't mind it. I welcome it. I also welcome bluetooth as I can't give away a precious I/O port to a mouse to plug the dongle in for wireless that is already on my pc. Yes, I know the polling is lightning fast and I appreiciate that and use it. However, when I'm not using it, it sits in a drawer because I can't use it for work. So now I have two mice, one for work, and one for gaming and that is not ideal. I would love to have a Bluetooth radio in the mouse for times when you can only carry one mouse. That said, it really is a terrific mouse for gaming, and the polling speed is out of this world. I have yet to find its equal. I love razor's black esthetic and the build quality seems to be on par with every other premium, high polling mouse out there. So I suspect this will last a very long while. If you're looking for the competitive edge, when youre gaming online, look no further.

Solid Mouse!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was very excited to get this mouse. I've used Razer budget mice for many years (starting with the Razer DeathAdder V2), so when I saw that the Razer Viper 4 Pro had just come out, I knew I had to have it. Firstly, as the description of the mouse in the title ("Ultra Lightweight Optical Gaming Mouse") suggests, it is indeed a very light mouse. Because I'm used to heavier, budget mice, it almost felt too light. It wasn't really an issue though; I got used to it after a few days. I found the mouse's weight to be very useful for FPS (first-person shooter) games. Secondly, the mouse looks quite sleek and nice. Yes, it doesn't have RGB, but I've personally never cared for RGB. It does have a small indicator light on it, which I believe is a nice touch. I also love how there's no default DPI button on top. I was always accidentally pressing that on my old Razer mice. Sure, those can be remapped to something else, but I still found it annoying. Thirdly, the battery life is very good. I still charge it every day for my own sanity, but I think that one can easily go 3 or even 4 days without charging it. It's also a plus that it charges through USB-C. I can just use an old wire. Lastly, I love the new Razer Synapse web version. I can finally uninstall the Razer Synapse app. The app really chugged resources. Overall, this is a solid mouse. I'd recommend it to anyone looking to use it for gaming.

How do they even get a mouse so light??
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've historically preferred a heavier mouse - they felt substantial and i felt like I was actually manipulating something, so I was shockingly surprised when I started using the Viper V4 Pro Ultra and actually enjoyed the feel (or lack there of!) of pushing it around my desk - it was like moving an empty hand and I seriously dug it! Some wireless mice I've used in the past didn't allow you to use them in a wired configuration while charging - not the case here, so if you're in the middle of a heated gaming sesh and your battery gets low just plug it in and keep on blasting. I've pushed the battery life to it's limits and after the first couple of cycles I was able to get roughly 170 hours out of it - not bad considering it's advertised for 180 minutes, but my 170 was not continuous , it was over multiple sessions and a few skipped days in between as well. The sensor , when set to it's highest resolution, allows for the most precision movement I've ever encountered in a mouse - I believe that's where the cost justification is here, the optical sensor. Regardless, Razer has hit a homerun with this mouse - I've put my old ones out to pasture and running with this one!

Perfect For FPS Gaming
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve been using the Razer Viper V4 Pro for Call of Duty, and this mouse is actually insane. The weight is super light, so aiming feels way faster and more controlled, especially in close gunfights. The sensor is crazy accurate, my shots feel way more consistent, and flicking between targets is super clean. It honestly feels like it improved my gameplay right away. Clicks are super responsive too, which helps a lot in fast situations where every millisecond matters. Battery life is really good, I barely have to think about charging it even after long sessions. Only downside is the price is kinda high, but you definitely get what you pay for. Also, if you don’t like lightweight mice, it might not be for you. Overall, if you play Call of Duty or other FPS shooters and want something fast, light, and super precise, this mouse is 100% worth it.
