The Rode PSA1+ boom is simple where it needs to be, sturdy and professional where it counts. There's no need to adjust the spring tension with this boom, no removable metal panels for cable management, just attach it to your desk, strap on your microphone, or shock mount and mic, and go. I've used a wide variety of booms while podcasting and streaming. I use one every day for my day job working in IT. I've used low profile mounts, overhead mounts like this one, and a variety of different microphones. Some of the more well known ones i've used are the Compass boom from Yeti, nee logitech, and the Elgato Wave Low profile mount. Each one had its draw backs that were pretty apparent, either the cable retention systems were unwieldy (El Gato), or the springs were configured in such a way that even with a heavier microphone, the Compass boom would simply not stay down, and routinely lifted itself back up. If you're going to drop cash on a boom arm, this one shouldn't steer you wrong, it's a little on the expensive side, but that's a premium you'd pay for similarly specced booms that may have other caveats to them along with their price.

Spend the extra $30 and get the PSA+ over the non-Plus model—it’s absolutely worth it! The premium build quality is immediately noticeable, and unlike the standard version, this one stays firmly in place on my desk without shifting. It’s rock solid, and paired with a superior mic, it delivers exceptional audio quality. If you want a stable, high-quality boom arm, this is the one to get!

I am sure you can find something similar on amazon but I just love the way this arm looks on my setup. It comes with 2 bases depending on whether you want to make a hole in your desk and have it attached to the base there ooor if you move stuff around a lot (like me) just use the clamp that attaches it to the sides of the desk. The build quality is great, I've been having the arm for over a year and it still looks good as new. It also comes with cable guides for your aux chord or microphone USB cable which is a nice touch. The range of motion is good too, its easy to move out of the way but its also sturdy enough that I'm pretty sure it can handle a heavier microphone than the one I have right now, so if you're planning on upgrading your mic eventually this arm will probably have you covered. No complaints from me, I would definitely recommend.

There are a multitide of microphone boom mounts on the market, and most of them will get the job done fairly well. This product hit that same vein, unbox it, mount your mic, clean up your cables, and it just sits there. Its great. The real benefit of hogh quality is the fact that I haven’t once found myself thinking about the stand itself since installing. No worries, no frustrations, no hassle. It just…works. Every other stand i’ve owned has made it 2-3 uses before i had something to gripe about; this one, I more often find myself surprised at how well it accomplishes the most basic of basic functions while being well designed aesthetically and functionally.

It is beautifully stiff and stable even with my giant microphone attached to it. It has amazing maneuverability with additional cable control features that gives it a very professional finish. Very worth the purchase.

I really enjoy using this mic arm. Its very adjustable, easy to set up, easy to use, and made my set up way cleaner.

It works as intended, my wide wanted it for her quite heavy sony alpha 6100 and it does a good job of holding it up and she can even move it around without worrying its going to tip over randomly. It is a bit expensive in comparison to other available options but this does what we needed it to so its worth it

I've had this for about a month now, and i have to say it's the best boom arm I've ever had. It's very durable, easy to set up, and moves around where you need it to. If i needed another boom arm or a friend needed one i would definitely recommend this one. It is pricy for a boom arm, but it is worth its weight in gold.

This is a great product. It can clamp to a lot of surfaces and thicknesses. I have had several mics on it. I like how it has guides along the arm for the cord to keep it nice and neat looking. The soft covering looks and feels good. Keeps it from having to keep the dust off the bars. I guess it keeps you fingers from getting pinched when moving it around. Very goo product and I actually plan on buying another one soon.

Needed an arm to hold my Shure SM7B for streaming and it did its job and more. Would definitely recommend if you're in the market for long term content creation!

Mounted on my desk with a Hyper X mic. Very nice mount for the money. Super solid. I’ve had it on my desk for about a year with no issues.
