I use it for my YouTube videos and it works really good.

Quality & noise elimination better than expected!!

Mic works pretty well, but is rather large and foam covering comes off at inopportune times. Attaches to camera well, but is kind of cumbersome and snags on things.

This seems to work fine but unless you're planning to make serious films I doubt you need this for most projects. Still very nice quality.

This is a great mic for doing interviews. It does have a hissing sound but if you just change the right video and/or audio settings (depending on your DSLR camera). The hissing sound will be reduced or better yet gone while your are shooting/filming.

The mic itself was great. It did not work with the product it was to be attached to so I ended up having to buy another item that worked for what I wanted

I love it is better improvement from the standard one.

This product exceeded my expectations. The wind shield did a great job of cutting down ambient noise, and the mic itself has a longer range than expected. Glad I purchased.

Really happy with this mic, I’m a photographer and I just started doing videos on YouTube so this is a great start. I recommend the higher versions of this mic like the Rode Mic Pro if you can afford it because you can control the audio much more. Like I said, great for starting out!

Not the best quality, but it gets the job done. I recommend purchasing an all weather cover for the mic to eliminate as much noise as possible when outside. I use mine for daily vlogging for youtube videos.

Bought this did lots of research found lots of good reviews from others but did not work well for me, it was very noisy hmmmm sound as if it was capturing audio from camera only not worth the money

If you want to eliminate a lot of background air, this mic is a great starter. Not many physical options on the mic like the next series, but a good start.

I mean really every camera needs an external mic. Is it the best? no but at this price it does what it said it will and does a good job at it.

I was not able to tell much of a difference in the sound between the internal mic built into my camera and the RODE mic. It did help to eliminate the noise from the autofocus.
