    Terrible electric interference

I got this mic a while ago but hadn’t gotten to use it until now. What absolute trash. The shielding is nonexistent. I did a whole series of recordings with it only to find that the audio was completely unusable due to electronic interference. It’s so bad simply being in a room with a computer fills the audio track with hums and pops. It’s so bad that being near a living creature is enough to cause hums. In testing it I moved the camera near my dog and you can hear the audio go HUMMMMMM every time the back of the mic is close to him.

I haven't used it much yet but so far it seems to work as good as I had hoped.

Too much interference, constant humming in videos

If this microphone didn't come packed in a kit with the Camera I would be returning it. It constantly gets feedback and interference even after turning mic sensitivity down. I'll have to try the tinfoil on the back to see if that helps. Avoid is you can, I've yet to get a new mic. For $99 you would expect more from this microphone.

    Noise everywhere.

Terrible, cheap design and build. The shielding is so poor, that it picks up interference everywhere. I recording near a wifi router and the track is unusable. A company like Rode should be embarrassed by this product.

    Unbelievably Awful

Its unshielded and the amount of EM interference it picks up is ASTOUNDING. Do not buy unless you're a nature videographer on a super strict budget so you can be miles away from civilization (and even then you might want to turn off your phone too...)

As others have stated, RF interference is bad

The RF interference on this mic is the worst I have ever seen. I think it's the plastic body and unshielded cable. I recommend getting the video micro instead
