    Purchased this microphone hoping to have better directional audio for a testimonial being recorded on my iPhone. My lightning Lavalier mic would have been better or the built in iPhone mic. Thankfully, I did a playback jack after the first couple of minutes and realize that mic was not working that well so I unplugged it and just cupped my hand at the bottom of the phone toward the direction of those being interviewed. That audio was much better than anything that came from this microphone. Thankfully, my editor on the table to enhance the sound during post production. I would not purchase this again. The Best Buy return policy caught me and I was unable to get my money back so I had to settle for store credit.

    The lightning input was a little sensitive. If you nudge the mic at all, the input jack can become dislodged and it produces really distorted, unusable audio.

    Three reasons for my single star 1- Useless item, doesn't make any difference between straight iPhone microphone and using this microphone 2- Best Buy return policy is horrible ... only two weeks for such items? other vendors gives upto 90 days. 3- Best Buy sold me used/customer return item as a new item. I will think before next purchase with Best Buy. Very disappointed with customer service in spite of stating the facts.
