    It does grab audio from the pointed direction, but if you compare the mic to the internal mic a camera has, does not make a great difference as in audio quality

    I bought with a high expectation given reviews, but when I installed it on my Nikon 7200 to record orchestra performance, the recording quality was not what I hoped for. I also recorded using my smartphone, and that had the better quality of sounds.

    I had a positive expectation of this microphone, but it was not like that. The sound quality of this microphone is standard. The sound quality that I picked up with the microphone was very similar to that of the internal microphone of the camera.
