Great for filtering unwanted noise
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Keeps noise outside of the directional shotgun mic for a clean sound capture when you shoot video. I use it for my dslr, my ipod, gopro, and point and shoot cameras. Way better than the built in mics on the cameras.

This is permanently attached to my 70D! The battery seems to last forever writing since Christmas I have only replace this battery twice. The difference this made is something that I cannot describe in words. Buy it!

So far, not good
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had to put a piece of card board in the battery compartment to power mic. Tested sound on my Canon g40. Sounded good but the battery issue was annoying.
