Another fantastic R0DE microphone product. I have the original Video Mic Pro and wanted to upgrade to this mode, the newer Video Mic Pro +, which has even more capabilities. I used it all the time for my Youtube channels to film my new content. I can highly recommend this microphone if you want top notch quality!

Works perfect for youtube videos and even indoor footage when you need to lock in on the subject's voice. It's just rough finding a deadcat that fits perfectly on it

This is my first shotgun mic, so I don’t have anything to compare it to. I watched many reviews and there were more saying it was worth it over the Rode mic below this one at $229. Setting it up was very easy, and I love that it turns on and off with the camera! Seems like a minor thing, but quite a few reviewers has fessed up to forgetting to turn their mics on and off. Also the sound quality is pretty good compared to my camcorders mic. I haven’t tested it outside as of yet, but inside has been very good so far. I’m also looking to buy a wind shield before I test it outside, as “Winter is Coming”, and so is the wind! Lol

This is a great microphone sounds great. Good battery life.

I purchased this because my smaller Rode mic made the loudest buzzing noises in my videos. I couldn’t even edit it out. This mic doesn’t make any noises, no buzzing, and has the most crisp audio. I highly recommend upgrading to this mic for anyone having that problem or just needing a great mic!

This is a true shotgun microphone designed for camcorders, DSLR cameras, and portable audio recorders as primary and reference audio. Pairing this with my DSLR camera allowed me to achieve better sound quality than was possible with the default microphone.

The audio quality is very good. No more than 8 meters away from the person to get a descent sound. If you want it perfect, no more than 3 meters away from the sound producer. Definitely recommend!

I’ve always loved Rode products and this is no different. If you’re Looking for a compact Mike that you can plug directly into the camera that under most normal conditions will give you great sound this is it.

I was NOT expecting the level of quality with this tiny mic! Size doesnt matter here. This is a fabulous mic for on camera interviews, blogging, etc. Its worth the money. Trust me. If not... return it for a full refund! ;)

Hands down the best on-camera mic I’ve owned. It’s huge compared to many but the trade off is worth it.

Love the new rode. Definitely worth the money! Sound quality is great. Love the new shut off feature. I can definitely notice the difference between my old rode and this mic

Auto shuts on and off when using Canon77D. Be warned though, when used with dji ronin s gimble that it’s will collide with one of the arms of not careful. But overall quality is great!

Best mic for content creation, good for loud backgrounds
