Excellent microphone. Works well with my Sony a7iii. Audio is so much better with it, and doesn’t sound much different than the Rode VideoMic Go! Well worth the price!

I own and run a small production company. I am a loyal Rode user and have many of their products. I would recommend the Video Micro for anyone wanting a compact and clean sounding mic.

I purchased a microphone that was cheaper than this and it was not that great. Spend the money to get this microphone and you will not be disappointed. Great microphone for smart phone.

Just perfect. Nice sound and perfect size. I use it with a Nikon D810 and D7500 DSLRs and even with my DJI Osmo pocket and sometimes with my Samsung Note 9.

I am new into vlogging and this is my first Mic to use with my phone. It is very easy to use and provide a very nice sound quality for the price. Love it.

I bought this for better audio on my mirrorless and DSLR cameras. For interviews, I use a lapel mic as my primary mic and use this on my backup camera. I wish it was a little more sensitive at times but it is definitely a step up over the built-in mics and having a windscreen helps with wind or other distractions. The isolating rubber mount for the mic is a little weak to hold it level. When the dead cat is installed, it’s too heavy for the mount and it droops. I use a rubber band to help level it back out but I don’t think I should have to do this.

I'm using this RODE VideoMicro on my Canon EOS 5D and Sony Camcorder. Both devices work well with this microphone. The sound quality is great!

I gave it 5 starts because it works great on a GoPro. Tried on camera and not the same quality.

Clearly buying a 70$ won't compare to buying a 200$ microphone. But it still can be used with other tasks such as recording on a phone (for an interview, or video purposes), or with other recording devices. Although some of the flaws that can be seen with the mic are the holder, where it can be very irritable to manage if you are recording, there are some ways to get around this by looking at a holder beforehand or knowing how to securely fasten the mic. The results of different recordings from a DSLR Camera, to an iPhone, or Sony Camcorder have been great audio that can enhance video or audio recording.

Clear sound recording, you will be amazed at how different with this addition on your camera. Light weight and easy to handle outdoors.

Bought this to film video for a youtube channel. Have used it for a live broadcast and got good reviews from subscribers re: audio quality. Good for the price. Does not come with phone mount, so be careful.

The sound quality on the videos I've made using this mic is excellent. I've found that time is the true test for video mics, though, so we'll see. One note: I purchased this to use with an iPhone because various sources said it would be compatible. It is not. It requires a separate purchase of a different cable PLUS a lightning adapter. Madness! Don't be misled like I was. This mic is made to be used with an actual camera, and for that it works beautifully.

The mic picks up great quality audio. I cant believe its only $60. However the mount is pretty cheap and i broke mine pretty easily. its too rigid, which causes it to snap when placing the mic in.

Wow ! This Rode mic is incredibly portable whether you use it on your action camera, your studio cam, or even your cell phone. I use this for YouTube and works awesome !

Worked great. We used it on a customer event video shoot and got great audio at this price point. If you are on a budget this is a great option.
