I stream mobile video from my car so you can imagine the noise in the vehicle. This mic solved that problem. Go watch some YouTube videos on this microphone and wind noise as that is what sold me on this mic. Amazing microphone for a great price. Also comes with a "dead cat" style windscreen.

Was debating between this and the full side rode. After trying cheaper versions I bit the bullet and went rode. Glad I did as this little mic outperforms the full size precious options I had. I don’t have the full size so can’t make that comparison but can say this mic picks up plenty for my videos.

very great sound, can pick up voices from a good distance, would be good for interviews, vlogs, films, etc. Wind deflector cover works great, only downside is that it is kind of wobbly and loose since you can just pop it off and on. But the mic itself is very well made and sturdy, i use it with my Panasonic Lumix G7

I use this with my canon 80d (DSLR), but it also works on my iphone. It gets good quality sound and the deadcat is fairly effective. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is it seems to switch between mono and stereo indiscriminately with no way to control it. Not a huge deal, but somewhat irritating.

Very good built the quality of the mic when attached to my T7i is perfect since a do a lot of blogging I wanted something that could keep up with my voice when going in areas with A lot of wind and this product did not disappoint.

What you get - Cold shoe mount, shotgun mic, cable to connect mic with camera and deadcat. Result: It will improve the sound quality but I noticed that you have to be really close to the mic. I have not tested the deadcat outside in windy conditions. **iPhone users, please note** 1. You will need to buy an additional cable in order to use it with your iPhone. It's called RODE -SC7 0.55' 3.5mm TRS to TRRS Patch Cable - $17.00. You connect 1 end to the microphone and the other to end to your iPhone's headphone dongle. 2. It won't work if you plan on using this for video chat. If you do this, you won't be able to hear any sound back from your phone. Conclusion: I recommend this if you VLOG or use FB live and IG stories.

This is a great little microphone that is a huge step up from the built-in serial mic on my Fujifilm camera. It’s great for family fun and blogging.

Fantastic microphone. Its minimal, provides clean audio. However, the plastic that holds the mic on top of the camera seems a bit fragile. I've had mine for 4 years and still holds strong. Overall, worth the purchase

I originally purchased this to use it with my Canon t6i, but I've been using it with my iPhone (you'll need to buy a cable separately to use it with an iPhone) and it's quite an improvement from both of my devices. I love the compact size compared to other rode mics.

Super great mic! I use it on my Lumix G7 and when I say wind doesn’t hit this mic and the sound is clear it really is! The only down side is that it wobbles a lot but it’s nothing that serious trust me.

Works great for my small YouTube channel. Picks up great sound, but like most mics like this requires some sound editing to get rid of the open air. Overall great quality and happy to get a mic for under $100.

A must if you are filming on a gopro and need audio. These will help you capture decent audio from your gopro. If you keep your expectations right for what these mics can do, then they work quite well.

I got a steal with microphone. It was on sale and I paid less than half of what I would have at full price. I used it for a wedding the next day and this microphone it not disappoint. It grabbed the perfect amount of audio and it was super crisp.

This microphone does what it's supposed to do for its price point. It's small and easy to pack and, the dead cat is a plus for outdoor projects. If you use an iPhone, don't forget to buy a female 3.5mm to lightning adapter.

Wow, for such a compact device, this mic is amazing and versatile. Used both on my DSLR and phone (don't forget to order the additional cable to ensure it works on your phone). Simple and easy to use!

Purchased for use with the zoom app. Functions as a mic should. Easy to use. Just plug into headphone jack and cold shoe mount on my phone cage and it’s working. Highly recommended for function and price.

I purchased this to video a friend's wedding. Easy to setup and great results. Much better than the microphone on the camera I was using. No regrets at all.
