    I used this RODE VideoMicro with my Canon SL1 DSLR camera and couldn't really see the significant difference without the microphone ,it sounds pretty same unless i am doing something wrong which i hope i did not. I wish i could have bought the Rode VideoMic Go! After all its s great brand very solid microphone with 2 years of warranty so it may succeed your expectations.
