    Slightly better than the built in mic. The windscreen helps. Lots of noise but that is probably as much from the camera preamp. One of the higher end Rode mics with a battery preamp is probably better. This is good for the money though.

    I bought this for my Nikon D3400 but my camera doesn’t have a mic input :).I end up using it with my iPhone, but there’s not big difference because my iPhone has a good mic You’ll have a good sound quality only when you are close to your phone, but not so good at A long distance.

    Decent quality mic. Well constructed (metal body). The dead cat that comes with this mic is pretty big and a mild pain to put on and remove but does the job. Keep the size of the dead cat in mind when using with a small camera or a phone to make sure it doesn't show up on the recording.

    I LOVE THIS! I am a concert photographer and started doing video. I have a canon 80d and the sound quality is total crap. So I got this little guy and the improvement of the sound quality was amazing! So happy I got it! It's super easy to use and it comes with a 2 year warranty with RODE. Would definitely buy again.
