I bought this as an external mic for my DSLR. I think it's a bit better than the internal mic under load, but when there's silence it produces a noticeable hissing on my recordings.

Great quality Mic , that works well within my budget! Wind cancellation is a plus with this thing! You can even plug up to your iPhone and use this for a better sound quality!

Purchased this mic on short notice for a video project. Must say it came through and did the job well. It was easy to use and the audio we got from it was fantastic. Really impressed and happy this was the mic we chose.

I recently purchased the RODE microphone for a video project and I was absolutely maxed at the quality that it provided, especially with noise cancellation. I would recommend this product to everyone....most definitely to beginner videographers.

If you're looking for a compact microphone that gives outstanding results, look no further. I currently own microphones costing fifteen times what this costs, but this is often my go-to mic when I have to grab my DSLR or mirrorless and go!

It's a nice enough little set if you have the GoPro mic adapter, which is a bit pricey for what it is, and does a decent job picking up voices and such. It doesn't do too much to boost sound, though because it isn't powered beyond its hookup to the GoPro. So not bad.

The rode mic mini is a great starter mic if you are doing something like interviews or blogging and the subject is close to the camera, if it's a bit far I suggest to use an aux a bit longer, the sound quality is not the best, but is way better than only using your camera mic

Mic works great. Highly recommend this to anyone needing an external mic. Don’t forget the to also purchase a TRS to TRRS patch cable and 3.5 mm to lightning adapter if using on an iPhone. Will not work on iPhone without those two cables.

I do a lot of vloggs outside. Wind was a killer for me and this mic has reduced wind noise by almost 90% I LOVE it... you could really tell the difference in sound quality between my older videos and newer videos. Check it out on YouTube at: Moe & Soe

I used for video on my Canon 5D iv. Also for my meeting with Zoom and connected on my Apple laptop-you will need a connection “Y” wire for headphones connection. The laptop doesn’t recognizes as a microphone.

Really great product. I bought this in a pinch of time and it did the job. I was really really pleased with the performance of this product. Best buy knows how to buy their inventory.

Got this for my GoPro. Better than the built in mic. Not the best for anything too loud like recording a live band, but like I said better than the built in mic.

I record videos for fun, and didn't want to spend a lot of money for audio, so thought of trying VideoMicro..and to my surprise its the perfect budget mic. But if you are doing something professional then I would not recommend this, it better to go with RØDE VideoMic Pro.

I use this with my iPhone for video clips, mostly indoors. It makes a difference both indoors and outside by filtering out some of the background noise and by making the sound quality less tinny.

This was a great upgrade over the built in mic on my dslr. It worked extremely well indoors. The results outside were acceptable even on a windy day.

I like this product, sound quality is very good and include with the wind filter it's really use for outdoor video shoot with the sound filter. one thing i'm not really happy with it is not working with phone unless you get the extra kit.
