    The sound is ok but you have to be really close. Also, if there is any ambient noise it will pick it up and requires you to remove the noise which then could cause your audio to sound hollow. I think it best used for indoors and up close. Most other applications you would need a different mic which RODE does have several that work well.

    Was using this on my Canon T3i at first and there would be hissing when trying to edit the video. But then hooked it up to my Canon T6i and there was no trace of that hissing sound. So I'm really unsure what was causing it. A bunch of people have said they have had that same hissing issue if you search for it on youtube.

    Works pretty good, but the plastic mic holder is flimsy and flexes a lot. this needs to be improved
