Too weak and have weird sounds, will return it. Might get a better one.

Gave a buzz in the audio right out of the box. Would not buy again

I love Rode video mics generally, but this one is hard to recommend. I've opted to use the on-camera mic instead because the videomicro tends to be noisy/brittle sounding. That said - Rode's microphones that require some kind of battery power have been awesome!

It is an okay item if you are close to the subject.

I think I am missing something with this mic. It was plugged straight into a Gopro camera and it seemed to be worse than the built in mic. It's possible, the camera does not have any amplification and it requires it. I'm really not sure. I will play with it in the future, but as of now, I am not impressed.

Works with one device but not the other. Also, the cord is too short.

Basic fuzzy mic cover. Should work fine. Adds a cool look to your mic I guess

With all this it could be better Overprice not recommended

It’s pretty sturdy for the size and is quite mobile

The wind guard slides off and I’m not sure it’s supposed to do that

I'm disappointed because right out of box it was faulty. Background hiss that took some time to track down to this mic. Before thought it was the camera causing the hiss. Now testing on Android, even worse hiss. Trying to get warranty coverage and no luck. Only way is through a very confusing website. I wish I had waited and spent this money toward a professional mic.

The audio quality is not great if hooked up to the phone.

I bought this item for quick voiceovers and short ASMR baking videos after seeing the reviews; however I wish I didn't. The sound is completely muffled and goes in and out like I'm underwater or as if there's a blanket over it? This is with the dead cat OFF too. My connections are tightly in place and I even go into the closet to film for the best sound quality, and I still get a weird muffled result. My phone microphone is more crisp and clear than this microphone which is such a bummer. A let down from a highly rated mic company

Only 3 stars because it didn't work for what we wanted it to do. That's all.

If WiFi is turned on using a GoPro Hero5, the audio has a clicking noise. This might just be a bad Rode, but I did not figure this out until I was outside of the return/exchange period. If Wifi is turned off, no click. When I use WiFi with my SONY mic, no click - so I think the issue is with the Rode.

Works well, get the job done. I use it every time I record.
