Returned, does not work for recording video on Nikon D-850, Rode makes good mics, but his needs powered input

Does not work without a AMP either in line or boost firmware in video cam. Did not work with my canon. Needs a built in power signal amp.

Waste of money. Sounds like junk. CS suggested using it with an ap but that didnt help.

I wouldn’t give this as a gift or use myself id rather find somewhere else to get cheaper and better

I bought this item a month ago and right now does not work

I got this for vlogs inside so I didn’t find it useful but lesson learned

Low quality. Worked first time I used it. Didn't make it to a second use.

I went to Best Buy and they recommended this but it didn’t fit my camera

I receive my package in the mail. Opened with excitement and quickly set up. No batteries, no switches! Quick and easy. Now for sound. It's better than the on camera mic for sure. I have a couple of Nikon DSLR's. Full auto picks up some lens focus noise, and some not so great sound quality but wait! Switch lens to manual focus, adjust the sound levels in camera and you're done. For an all around mic to have with me and trouble free! 5 stars all the way. Tested in different environments and know there will be a little post production to the sound but also my video. It's a great mic and would recommend to anyone. Rode makes some good products. If your looking for a cost effective easy addition to you videos give this one a try. I almost bought another one for less money and I'm so glad I didn't.

Love the directional nature of this microphone. I do a number of videos by waterfalls, rushing creeks, etc. and this microphone records my voice while attenuating the ambient sounds.

Exactly what my grandson wanted/needed. He was thrilled.

Works perfectly on an old Nikon D5100 that I handed down to my son. He’s having a blast recording short videos with it. States is almost as good as his studio mic he uses for recording podcasts etc.

This microphone is really bad for recording outside, but it does fine inside. Also it works Less 50% of the time when attached

Great mic for camera, keeps the wind noise down to a minimum
