Works great with my Gopro Hero 4 Black and Gopro mic adapter.

Easy to set up. Works great. The closer you get it to the subject, the clearer the sound. And don't forget to get the adapter cable and dongle for your iPhone.

Worked perfectly, although using the cables tends to pull the mic a bit to the side when in a mount. Took videos of a wedding on a beach with crashing ocean waves, wind and even rain - from about 15' away. You could hear most of the vows and the wind filter did the job by blocking a bulk of the external noise. Just remember that iPhone cables are a separate and expensive optional purchase (a 25% extra cost on top of the mic). Perhaps a $5-$10 premium to package both types with the mic would be more consumer friendly. That being said, I realize it's packaging and marketing - 5 star quality and 4 star value because of that.

I absolutely LOVE this microphone! It's light, portable and better quality than my other Rode Mic. I've even used it to record some music! The best mic out there until you start to get into the real professional stuff.

Desperately needed an upgrade from the in-camera mic on my Nikon D5300 and the RØDE VideoMicro is perfect! Its very compact and records decent audio for being camera powered and not having a HPF. Highly recommend!

Rode makes great microphones and this one is no exception. The mic produces great sound from a super small package. It is great for a mirrorless camera or phone and works great for vlogging from your phone.

Great microphone for travel blogging definitely recommend

If you are planing to start a Youtube channel or just want a good mic for some good audio recording, this is your product. It won’t break the bank and is super easy to use, plus the red cable looks super nice.

This does not beat out the Rode Video Mic Pro at sound recording but at almost $200 less, it does a great job. It's small, doesn't require batteries and comes with a wind muff. For those on a budget, you can't beat it.

I intended in using this microphone for vlogging and found it only works with my iPhone and new mirrorless camera. The reason is this microphone is not powered microphone so older camcorders require powered one to work. Even with a really big "dead cat" fur in front of the microphone, some wind noise is still heard. Make sure you can vision a big fur "dead cat" is OK on your camera because my wife refuses to carry the camera with it sits on top. She said it looks ridiculous. However, even for the entry level I still think this one is a keeper. If you are serious with sound recordings there are better alternatives

Far outperforms the onboard mic on my canon eos m. It’s small and lightweight yet well built. Anyone looking for a cheap upgrade to audio should look no further

I must say I have done a little bit of research and this mic came up a few times. I am new to the media world and doing live shots or videos outdoor with an iPhone. This mic easily attached to my Joby hand rig and looked amazing. It comes with everything you need if you’re using just a DSLR but will need a cable for a phone application. Overall the sound is so much better when I tested it inside and out. Also in the hills of Malibu there is a difference with the wind shield on and it comes with this package. Overall I highly recommend this for beginners and pros alike as it looks amazing and sounds even better compared to standard mic on iPhone.

Perfect for what is is, There are better mics but not in a form factor like this mic. If you need a high quality small mic this is the one.

I got the Rode Mic Go and this one at the same time to compare the sound quality and in my opinion this is deliver better audio with the best package being small and including the dead cat.

Audio turns out really well! Does scare me a little when the fuzzy dead cat doesn't fully stay onto the mic, but with a little adjusting it fits perfectly! Very impressed with it and recommend it to anyone starting out!

Well I purchased this microphone because I thought I needed it, in reality I think it does enhance the audio quality of the videos compared to the microphone on the camera that’s already there, when the camera moves it makes this auto focusing noise that the camera picks up but the microphone gets rid of that noise. I would have wanted the device to be a little bit more sturdy it tends to easily flop around and kind of points down word. Also I didn’t realize it was gonna come with a rabbit looking tail Cover which I am not really into but my husband says it needs it to mute any movement disruption sounds. But it’s better than nothing so I’m happy with the product

I was looking for a smaller and more compact external microphone for my camera. This one was perfect and it sounds great. I like the fact that it includes a wind muff/dead cat.

This has been a great addition to our Sony A6100. It picks up all the sounds and its easy to carry around. It looks like it will last a loong time.
