You'll need to purchase a TRS to TRRS cable if you're planning to use this mic on a cell phone. great for scratch audio

This will also get you lots of ambient audio if that is what you look for.

A Good Mic for my DSLR Camera

One of the job I had was in the swimming pool area with a lot of kids and instructor yelling loud instruction to the kids in a noisy pool area. When I listen to the video, it was very good. Not the greatest sound but for the amount of noise, it sure did a great job capturing the persons who were doing the talking for the interviews.
