This is a great mic, but was incompatible with my camcorder because it did not provide the necessary power through the mic jack. I tested it with a friends camcorder that had the 3v power the mic requires, and it sounded great. I returned the mic and bought another Rode mic that has an on-board battery. It also sounds great.

Filming a movie on my iPhone 11 Pro Max. Did a lot of research on what mics to use for filming. Many have mentioned this Rode mix. It gives extremely clear and smooth sound and did exactly what I needed. No interface needed. Strongly recommend to any indie film maker using a mobile phone.

I bought the HC-V770 Panasonic camcorder and was concerned that the sound for my sons play wasn't loud enough, so I got this mic. The HC-V770 has a setting where I was able to monitor the level of the sound in db, and with mic the sound level and quality of the sound was incredible and crisp. When playing back the recording it had worked great and exactly what I was wanting.

I wanted a mic to build out my new iPhone camera rig and gimble. I went with the Rode as they have a good reputation. The mic itself is solid and the wind muffler excellent quality but the mount does seem a bit flimsy. It attaches just fine to my cold shoe but does seem shaky. I also had to get a different cable to enable the mic to work with the iPhone but overall I am happy so far.

Plug and play and hotshoe mount included. Provided significantly better sound than the built in mic on the camera. I do wish this had a gain control setting as my t3i does not and since I cannot adjust the automatic gain control, I am left with a rather annoying hiss in my audio that is present whether I use the mic or not. So more a critique on the camera than the mic.

I’m sure there are better sounding mics for a higher price, but this microphone blew my mind with the audio quality. With that said, this mic is VERY directional. This means that it picks up audio very well in the “line of fire” so to say, but anything outside that area is very muted. Other than that, this mic has great build quality and awesome sound quality. Totally would recommend!

My mic fits perfect on my camera best purchase from Best Buy

Bought this to use with my GoPro 10. I absolutely love it. I was worried at first. I couldn't use the deadcat because it was in frame. However, when I went into post production I was pleasantly surprised. It sounded amazing! I am going to purchase 3 more, 1 for each GoPro!

My daughter got this and loves it. She uses it all the time.

Use while filming with my iphone. Great sound easy to use. Seems very durable.
