Great mic for the price! Really easy to work with.

Much better sound quality recording with this microphone over my iPhone. But you have to be real careful because the end can come unscrewed. And the wires inside could break off if they do. So you have to make sure it’s screwed in tightly regularly

I bought this camera for a YouTube project, and I needed it right then. It works, not the greatest sound, a shotgun mic would work better. It is much better than the onboard mic on my DSLR though. It does pick up alot of background noise and hiss about 6 feet away from person who was speaking. It was usable though, and it served the purpose.

I was using this with my DJI Osmo and it worked perfectly. I now have the Osmo Pocket and I'm going to get the adapter and cold shoe mount so I can continue using it. It's really good at cutting down the wind noise with the dead cat on.......oops sorry kitty kitty as my cat looks at me.

I usually shoot video with a "real" video camera, but sometimes need to use my DSLR as well. This does the job pretty well. Certainly better than the in camera mic. However, I had to exchange the 1st one I bought because the hot shoe connector was attached correctly and caused the mic to point slightly off center. The 2nd one was fine.

Works pretty well, and definitely allow you to get some directionality with the mic for a smartphone. I hooked this up to an iPhone X to do some live-streaming and got pretty good audio results (it’s not a powered mic that could amplify, but grabs clear audio from the direction it’s pointed).

I ENDED UP RETURNING MINE AS IT DOESNT WORK WITH THE CANON G7X II. BUT I HAD ONE BEFORE THIS ONE AND THEY SOUND QUALITY IS A STEP UP FROM THE STOCK CAMERA MICROPHONES.

This thing sounds great for the price, I have tried and returned other mics in the price range, but I kept this one. Pro tip if you're using a Pixel 4 you must use their 1/4" adapter, no one else's works for whatever reason. Very Apple of them.

We really enjoy using this mic! We have it paired with the Canon M50. The only issue we have is if your behind the camera it really doesn’t pic your voice up as well. I know it’s a directional mic but I thought it would pick up a little more with how close we stand. But in front of the mic the sound is good!

I picked this mic instead of the Go because i noticed in reviews and tests that the RodeGo had a habit of picking up feedback from Canon cameras (which is what i own). I'm very pleased that theres no weird feedback w/ the micro. For the price it's been a great mic, nice sound for fairly close vlogging purposes.

Compared to a camera mic, this is a must-have. I plug this into my cell phone to record and I keep it away from the camera so it doesn't pick up noise from it. Lacks on the lower end of the sound spectrum, but for the price, you can't beat the quality.

This is my first external microphone for my camcorder. It is better than the onboard 5 channel microphone. I need to get a hot shoe extender for the camcorder because the fluffy sock (wind noise breaker) is showing up in the upper right hand corner of the screen, when in wide angle shots.

I have been enjoying my Rode Video micro on camera microphone so much. It works perfectly for what I need and is lightweight enough that I can take it anywhere. Make sure to get the additional cord if you want to use it with your iPhone.

Great little microphone, using it on my Panasonic camcorder and definitely improves sound quality. The mouse cover is a little crazy for people looking at you while video taping but they get over it after awhile lol.

This is an excellent compact microphone that is inexpensive. It provides great sound quality but make sure to keep it within 3 feet of the person talking or other audio source you are recording. It uses power from the camera. It is a cardoid mic instead of a supercardiod mic like the Rode Videomic Pro so keep that in mind.

Amazing sound mic, it does kinda hang in front of the screen when you flip it around to record yourself but other then that it was extreme sound and it amazingly gets rid of background sound to

The microphone's quality and functionality is great. There are 2 things which were a big annoyance for me. 1. You will need to buy another $15 adapter (trs to trrs) so you can get this to work with your phone or laptop. 2. You cannot mount this to a normal tripod. The thread at the bottom is for a 3/8" screw, not a 1/4" which is what a normal tripod uses. So you will have to spend some more money and wait a few days for the tripod adapter. Now I'm starting to have a little regret. If I spent a little more for the Deity D3, I would be all set right this moment.

It sounds so clear and plugs in easily. I'm happy with it.

This mic has been used for so many things and it's just wonderous. If your a vlogger check, do independent films check, if you just want clean sound check. This thing is no pro shotgun mic but it hoenstly is up there worht every penny and a great investment.
