Best entry level mic for YouTube. This is by far my favorite mic for use on my YouTube channel. I now have two of them, one for each of my cameras so I have backup audio. It’s great not having to worry about a battery for the mic and the audio quality holds up with the higher end mics.

I bought this little mic, and I do mean little, not expecting to be too impressed. It's very small and inexpensive. But I'm happy with it for what it is. First off, it doesn't need batteries. This means that as long as it's plugged in, it's foolproof...it's always working. It definitely works better than the internal mics on both my Canon 80D DSLR and my Sony ax53 camcorder. Don't expect too much and you'll be happy. Pretty good up to about 8 ft. I am definitely keeping it.

For the price, this is an amazing mic. Sounds great and makes a ton of difference on my MDSLR. Only thing is Rode needs to design a better mount for this and sell or ship it to lagit buyers. Because the mount bounces way too easily. Fixed by using ribber bands to stabilise.

I purchased the Rode VideoMicro for use with my iPhone 6S Plus to help with creating my videos for YouTube. I was just looking for something that would be a step up from the mic on the iPhone, and I got it! What I got was more that a "step up," I got a microphone capable of recording audio as good as my Blue Yeti microphone. I also have a Samson Go Mic and this one sounds just a little better overall, and the Samson is one of my favorite mobile mics I've used. The Rode VideoMicro picks up audio clearly wherever I point it and does a great job at blocking out surrounding noises, not all the way but very good. I honestly don't know if there is a better mic for your iPhone/Video Camera/DSLR for close to price of this one, if there is I haven't found it yet. This little Rode mic is built very very well, all metal body and the shock mount and cables are likewise of high quality. Now one of the main things I love about this mic is the inclusion of a "Dead Cat" wind blocker, you have to spend a good deal more to get one of these if your mic doesn't come with one, and even more on most mics that have this in the box. The Dead Cat is a very good one as well, does it's job flawlessly and it sewn very well. I just can't find a single thing I can complain about with this microphone... HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Now some people were complaining it won't work with the iPhone, but you can grab a $2 TRS to TRRS conversion adapter and no problems whatsoever. I just used the one that came with my LifeProof Fre case and it works like a charm. If you're looking at these types of mics for mobile use, you WILL NOT go wrong with this one!

I use this on my Canon Rebel Sl3. It's absolutely fantastic with the fuzzy top part. The microphone quality is significantly better than the camera's built-in microphone! Very inexpensive too. Grab it if you can, especially if you're vlogging or a beginner to video!

This microphone is perfect for all those people that are creating content from their smartphones or cameras. Really useful for V-login, and easy to carry.

Love this microphone. I brought it to go along with my GoPro Hero 7 Black as an addition to my vlogging setup. Sounds very good even in very loud conditions. I use it mostly in my travels to South East Asia where there is a lot of background noise is the major cities. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a compact microphone.

We are very happy with this little mic. It sits happily on our M50 and fits in our camera bag while still mounted to the hot shoe. No problems being in the way on a gimbal (ronin s we borrowed) for low shots. Dead kitten was a huge bonus in the wind and it came with it. Literally unboxed, mounted and go. Super easy and sounds infinitely better than the camera mic, especially in crowds or indoors.
