They required a firmware update before they would charge. I did not see that in the instructions or quick start guide. Spent a while googling the issue before I could get them working. They are extremely pricey and I probably would have found an alternative if I didn't have a gift card to use. The learning curve for operation is steep, but once you get the settings dialed in, you're good to go. I love the onboard storage option.

Problems with Rode’s apps

Purchased to use with Insta360 X3 camera. Installation went ok but the Rode Central apps will not work on my iPad or my iMac running Ventura. Disappointing.

These cost $300 by the time we went by their pay off terms we would have paid $1400. How is that okay

Now with the incorporation of additional mic as part of the package, its perfect for almost EVERY occasion. Wish the case was the hard case but it is what it is.

The "Pro" has better transmitter units while also including the RODE charging case ($75 value) and two lavalier accessory microphones (valued at $80 each). Either way, both are great kits but the PRO is much more bang for the buck.
