Ruined package

Looking to exchange for a working unit, but apparently they’re sold out everywhere now. Will update review once I get a non-defective unit.

I think this still beats the Blink 500 and the PicoMic. I used it to record myself speaking for 3-45 minute sessions. I used a cheap lapel mic attached to the Rode mic and there was no ambient sounds and no cut out. I was approximately 80 feet away. Zero complaints with this mic. I'm sure they'll release a better version 2 in the future. For now, this is the best on the market.

Not compatible with 2019 mac book pro
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.So far zero stars, although I'm willing to change this if someone can point me how to make this mic work with my 2019 mac book pro. I've spent way too much time on Youtube, ordering extra cords, etc for me to be pleased with this even if I do get it to eventually work. People with older computers seem to do fine with this mic but it just hasn't worked for me. So frustrating.

Best Buy really should recommend the SC7 and the additional adapter required for this to work. Not pleased.
