Even if you dont like playing video games, this is an excellent movie. I went into this movie with such low expectations but I was really surprised how good it was. I have watched it multiple times now that it is on cable all the time. Does not get old. Definitely worth the watch.

It's a great movie visually, Great justification of a 4K TV purchase. Main character is mediocre and support cast is better. Nothing new plot wise but otherwise an enjoyable popcorn movie.

Really loved this movie when I saw it in theaters. Story is pretty simple but still very enjoyable. A group of friends go on the ultimate treasure hunt adventure through this massive digital universe while trying to outrun the evil corporation on their tails. It is full of pop culture references and eye candy for gamers and people who grew up in the 80's and 90's

Ready Player One is Spielberg's most visually ambitious and digitally reliant picture yet, he is one of only a few filmmakers who could make Ready Player One and actually make it mean something. This is a digital extravaganza, but it's all Spielberg and all heart, the high-quality 2160p/Dolby Vision video, near reference Atmos audio, and a handful of featurettes.

As an 80’s child, this movie hit all the right notes with all the references and cameos and Easter eggs. I must have watched this movie a hundred times already and I’m happy it’s not a vhs tape since it probably would have been worn out already. Oh and my 8 year old loved it, and she got a good laugh when she saw Chucky even tho it was for a brief moment.

Never has there been a movie so geared for us 30-40 year old nerds as this one. There are lots of "I remember that" moments sprinkling all around this movie. Now I can explain all the references and Easter eggs to my nephews born in the early 2000s. I'm just glad that they didn't dive into the fashion of the time.. mullets, big hair, leg warmers, and sweatbands.

I read the book a few years before the movie ever went into production and I am so glad I did. The movie itself followed the book's premise very well and Spielberg did a great job directing. The CGI is just fantastic too. I am sure having the author on set really helped stick as close to the book as possible but I am sure there are elements in the book that just could not be reproduced on screen but the improvisations to those still make for a very enjoyable flick. My son & I saw it at the theater and I knew I needed to own it when it came out on Blu-Ray.

This seems to be a love it or hate it movie. I for one loved it. Spielberg is the expert at creating characters that feel like regular everyday people who just got caught up in something big. Beautifully rendered game worlds draw you in and could be a slice of the future. A great bit of escapism.

I really enjoyed the book and wanted add this to my collection. Though some things had to be changed due to licensing, it’s still a fun movie; especially if you like video games.

So I definitely recommend this movie for those of you that are in their late 30's. Very nostalgic movie brings back a lot of fond memories of older video games and movies. It was all put together very well to the story was great the action was awesome it was a very fun movie especially for older gamers out there. All in all a great movie. Highly recommend

What an awesome movie: action, suspense, intrigue, romance, and a cool idea! The product itself came free of any damage, and the DVD played completely through without a problem. Customer service at the pick-up window was excellent.

Although I like the way the film was made & enjoyed the additional “extras,” the film itself wasn’t that amazing. Having read the book, I feel Spielberg’s decision to exclude some of the cameos & “Easter eggs” from the novel, actually took away from the film & story. The parts & characters that were removed, are what made “READY PLAYER ONE,” a great read!

I made sure to read the book before I saw the movie. Book was great, movie was also very good. Although a lot changed I really enjoyed how they moved this to the big screen. Any fan of video games will appreciate this movie and I would say even sci-fi fans will enjoy this. Even just people that enjoy pop culture will find references they will love.

The quality of the 4k is outstanding. Very detailed and very colorful. However, the movie itself leaves a lot to be desired. Completely different from the book, and not in a good way.

This futuristic film is a collage of creativity. The film includes two scenes of magic that is not really needed and would probably be better off without. Otherwise, not a bad film.

Ernest Cline's tale of 80's videogaming and general pop culture taken to the big screen by none other than Steven Spielberg. The screenplay is magnificent, the soundtrack is a delight for those who grew up in the late 70's and the 80's, the story is extremely entertaining, and the visual effects are out of this world.

if you love 80's nostalgia then you'll love this. But it isn't just 80's though. Spielberg did his best to get anything movie and game related from the last 20 years in here too. 4k transfer is just simply gorgeous, especially when they're in Oasis. The image is cleaner than a usual Spielberg film which was shocking since he loves grain. The HDR is really really good. Nothing too overly bright that makes you close your eyes. Dolby Vision in my opinion was almost the same. Highlights might have been a little higher but I couldn't tell.

This movie was soooooo good! it was so refreshing to have Spielberg back doing movies like this! And don't shy away b/c of the video game aspects, it is not a video game movie. This is a great action, adventure, sci-fi movie. Such a cool premise, well acted, and well written. Amazing visuals really push this movie forward. Please watch this movie!!!

I know critics hated this, but I found it to be okay. I'm glad I waited to see it digitally at home rather than spending money to see it in a theater. Still, I've seen a lot worse.

I bought this for my grandson. He didn't show much interest in it... at first. My wife (granma) and I started watching it. We were pleasantly surprised by the movie." Ready Player One" is an unexpectedly good movie. About fifteen minutes into it my grandson starts watching it with us. He said he liked it after all. Spielberg hits another home run.
