I picked up ready player one during Black Friday, not knowing of the journey it would take me down. Being a frequent gamer I recognized characters from multiple universes (Halo,Gears of War, WoW, etc). The movie is based of a book that I haven’t read, so I’m excited to go read that title now.

For a CGI spectacular, this has a surprisingly good story (thank Spielberg and the original novel). Children of the 80's and gamers will appreciate all of the pop culture references. The bonus feature help you appreciate the level of complexity that went in the visual effects. Incredible detail.

This was a great purchase, because I enjoy collectibles and the art work on the case inside and out and it is pretty cool in my opinion. You get two discs with bonus footage never before seen from the theaters. If you have not seen the movie, then what if your problem? Get out there and watch it!!

Preface by saying I'm not into all the bonus features, so they don't factor into the review. Overall this movie is top 5 video and audio transfer for me. Great color pop and definition. Audio is raucous from the get go. The movie itself is huge fun. Great mystery and adventure! Highly recommended.

The 4k Ultra HD disc is gorgeous with fantastic use of HDR. Definitely a reference disc when it comes to sheer picture quality. The soundtrack is even better and will really make use of any good surround system. The movie itself is enjoyable if you go in not expecting much more than well choreographed action and top-quality CGI. Won't win any awards for story-telling or writing, but will go down as a very re-watchable "turn your brain off" Spielberg blockbuster.

Spielberg really knocked it out of the park with this one. The story is great- I'm hoping for sequels in the future! The special effects are out of this world- you'll want to watch the scenes in slow motion just to catch all the little easter eggs hidden in the movie! The entire family loved it.

I loved this movie and the added behind the scenes footage is definitely worth the price. I had no idea how much went into making this movie and my hat is off to Mr. Spielberg and his ability to embrace new movie making technology without sacrificing character development and good story telling.

So I am not gonna get into the review of the actual movie. It's already pretty good. The story is pretty basic, however, it's still pretty good. The 4k on this is hella awesome. I would definitely recommend this movie if you are looking to see some amazing effects and gorgeous colors.

Ready Player One, has Stephen Spielberg, great CGI, great characters, great story and all the 80's pop culture references make for a good movie.

What a cool movie. The film doea a great job of showing what it would be like if almost everyone in the future lived their life through virtual reality. A great story and great animation along with some fun pop culture makes this one a must own.

Steven has crafted another youth driven, ride through the future. Set designs are fantastic. It’s an alright story. Just a so so movie.

The movie style wasn't my favorite. That being said it brought back a lot of great classics. It was like taking a trip down memory lane .

Everything was smooth & easy. I pulled up to the curbside pick-up, contacted the via the phone number on the sign & in prompt& professional manner my item was brought out to me. I was able to leave without anything else needed from me!

Thought this was going to be an animated movie, but turns out to be a combination of animated with regular film. Was a great storyline and was much better than I thought it would be with great music and action all around. Would highly recommend this movie!

Although this is more for younger audiences, I enjoyed the message which seemed different depending on age and perspective. The movie moved along, had some intriguing parts, and has a good v evil theme with good winning in the end. I liked the fact that the main characters had to think to figure out the clues. Too often we want others to figure things out for us!

The effects I just had to see in 4K. Movie itself just OK to Good. 4K really does justice to the effects. A watch for when you're bored.

I hear there are some big differences between the book and the movie, but I since I didnt read the book, I just got to enjoy this movie. As a gamer since the 80's it has some really nostalgic characters, the visuals are phenomenal and the story is really good. I am a big fan of this movie!

Was totally surprised. I really wasn’t expecting it to be as great as it was. This movie was phenomenal the graphics were great the storyline was great. I recommend this to any guy teen a gamer. But not everyone would like it. My sister and niece would think Its not great. Maybe ok.

This movie has gotten quite a few mixed reviews but I personally enjoyed it. The special effects are top notch and if you love 80’s nostalgia this will be right up your alley. Most of the movie takes place in a virtual world so as long as you’re ok with that you’ll enjoy the movie too!

Has to be in 4K! So many Easter eggs, not just in the main story, but littered throughout the film. Hard to catch them all on the first watch but such a nostalgia grab and so much fun to imagine!
