Its just bigger. No because its design. Battery life was short as the old gopro battery.. if you use a lot i recommend buy extra battery if you can..

Ive used these on all kinds of mountain climbinh adventures. They can get finicky when it's super cold, but i think that's an issue with the hero8 more than the batteries.
