Took it to the beach the other day and literallt had my camera out and on the entire 8hrs I was there and it still had charge on it. W battery.

I was told not only by the Best Buy employees but also customers standing close enough to hear our conversation to buy this battery. Black Friday made it a good price. It's better to have an extra battery charged and ready to go then to have the one your using go dead with no backup.

If you're new to the Sony mirrorless world, be sure to stock up on extra batteries. The cameras are amazing, but they of course have relatively short battery life - an acceptable trade-off for the size and weight. I've noticed that Sony batteries tend to last longer than 3rd party options.

Perfect for those long days taking the most pictures you can. Never get caught power less with a back up battery.

Genuine Sony battery works as designed. Still need to determine if at 3 times the price it is better than the "no name" copies.

I have 3 of these batteries, which I used quite extensively on my cruise and land excursion's on my trip to Alaska. These batteries are original Sony brand batteries. I would change out and use these batteries every day and at night. I would highly recommend this battery.

Borrowed a very old camera. Had this battery in it, but no battery charger. Ordered this and the battery charger and it worked great.

Having extra batteries is a basic concept, but why not have all of the battery life that's available? Why aren't these extended life batteries included with the cameras? We know the answer, but that won't help you in the field. So spend the bucks and be in the best shape possible!

Great quality batteries for your a6000 series cameras. Much better than off brand choices. Longer battery life would be nice but they're not that big, so I suggest grabbing a few of them to make sure you can keep shooting photos/video.

Second, back up battery, used with the plug in wall charger. Now I have a fully charged backup on trips, hikes, and when I forget to charge the original battery. Ha!

I wanted to have the ability to go out for a day and shoot photos without the possibility of running low on battery power. So, I purchased the spare battery, and I will never go back to just one battery in my bag again! Totally worth the extra money spent to purchase this!

If you have a sony alpha from 5100-6500 then your going to need at least 2 more of these battery if your going to take pictures and video all day. I have a total of 4 batteries when i go out to a photoshoot. Worst thing as a phtographer is having a photo shoot with a nice camera and a G master lens with dead batteries lmao.. if you have a sony a6600 and above then this battery is not for you. Get the external charger too that goes on the wall outlet so you can charge the other battery while you use a different one.

We bought this battery as a back up to our existing battery and it works great. Great way to ease your mind knowing that you will not run out of battery life during your outing.

Product needed to increase the continuous use time of the camera. Very useful when we need to take photos and videos on a trip.

Very glad I bought the SONY OEM extra battery and wall charger. I actually planned to buy after-market battery but then decided to buy SONY OEM. The buy 3, get 25% off special at Best Buy was a nice price point. Thanks Best Buy and SONY.

Don't waste your time with copies. My experience with Sony camera batteries over 16 years has taught me to trust the real deal. They can be fully charged for years of reliable power.
