I was pretty 'meh' about this, but figured it was better to be safe than sorry. I was right. Battery life on the camera is fine, but since you have to plug it in to charge the battery, a second one is handy when you're not near an outlet and/or can't stop shooting.

Reviewed many options, most of which were not SONY brand, looking for the best balance between cost and performance. All promised to deliver full performance and claimed it would work as good as the manufacturer's original, but did not (maybe could not) claim to be as good as the SONY. So I went with the SONY brand, and have been fully impressed with results. You do get what you pay for.

Bought this battery to have an extra one available for my new camera. Nice to have a spare so that you do not have to stop and recharge before taking more photo when camera battery charge is depleted.

Aftermarket batteries are cheaper but I have had them fail on me. This battery, when charged, takes over 200 pictures with manual lense and stays charged for weeks. Two of these got me through a two month trip out west without any problems.

A must have when shooting longer sessions with your camera, battery last about an hour of continuous recording

I have a sony a5000 camera and wanted to stick to the original battery brand and this one works just as great as the one that came with the camera. I might buy another one to have extra batteries.

This battery lasts so much longer than aftermarket batteries of the same spec. Highly recommended!

As a professional videographer & photographer I can never have too many batteries, I've tried many off brand variants but non of them seem to hold up quite as well as the Sony. The recent price drop on the NP-FW50 has made me very happy!

I shoot with a Sony A7sII, which requires this type of Sony battery, and thankfully, it was just what I needed. Although it basically only lasts about 90 minutes in the A7sII, that's better than nothing, plus I had extra batteries and chargers to support while I was shooting. Buy a charger as well if you end up buying this battery.

Works perfectly, can’t go wrong with a oem battery!

I needed a backup battery heading out for a 3 week trip to the west. Having this battery as a back up has allowed me to get all the great pictures I was hoping to get. I was never without a charged battery. This was a great peoduct that was definitely worth the value.

The battery last for a pretty long time. I don’t recommend buying the knockoff brands.

If you have a Sony mirrorless camera then you know that you are going to need extra batteries. Don't beat around the bush and just but a bunch of them. They work great and you absolutely have to get them so just buy them!

I mean the battery does what its supposed to do, keep my camera running. Equipment: Sony a6400

Definitely get you a few of these if you are vlogging a lot! The battery life lasts a long time but def need a few on deck if you don't have time to keep waiting for it to recharge.

Everything has been working very well until now. No complaint.

The a6000 is power hungry. I was used to my Nikon SLR which could be left on for weeks without using much battery. The spare battery has saved many photo expeditions. I also use the charger instead of using the camera's in-built charger.

It's always good to have a couple spare batteries. I use mine on my Sony A7ii and haven't had any issues with it loosing its charge. Depending on how your camera is set up it may use more battery power but for the most part it is what it is expected.

So far, I have no complaints about the battery. It holds a charge and seems to be pretty efficient for a mirrorless camera battery. I have used it pretty frequently over the last couple months with my Sony A6000 with great results.
