Seriously one of my favorite movies ever. It's slick, stylish, weird, funny, and exciting. A big obvious draw to the movie is the impeccable art style. High contrast shadows with strong color choices, all made beautiful in motion with incredible hand-drawn animation. It's an absolutely gorgeous movie with a flavor of its own in every way. Every shot is well-done and could serve as a standalone piece. It's seriously something to behold. The story is fun and simple. There's a big intergalactic race held every 5 years to find out who's the best. The characters and their designs are are really fun and distinct, with the main lead JP having a special place in my heart mostly taken up by his reality-defying pompadour. The soundtrack makes me think of things like Jet Set Radio or something, it's a quirky and unique sound that really compliments the rest of the movie's oddball style. All in all, this movie is incredible. The races are a lot of fun to watch and the characters are really enjoyable to see. It easily hits one of my favorites of all time and I would recommend this movie to anyone who is into animation, art, or unique styles.

A friend of mine told me for years that I had to see this and gave it 12 out of 10! He was right!

I purchased this movie because of the trailer, the style seems really interesting. The storyline is pretty simple - bunch of racers driving crazy vehicles trying to win a high-profile race and shenanigans ensues, which ends up to be pretty awesome, but the main point of this movie is the visuals, I've never seen anything like it. For someone like me who barely watch anime at all and be highly entertained by this movie is a pretty high praise, not to mention that this is hand-drawn. For the price it's worth it, check it out.

This has it all. Great story. Great characters. Great soundtrack. Humor. Once every five years, the most deadly racing tournament in the universe is held. JP is a reckless dare-devil driver that is oblivious to speed limits with his ultra-customized car versus organized crime and militaristic governments that want to leverage the race to their own ends. Amongst the other elite rival drivers in the tournament, JP falls for the alluring Sonoshee. Will she prove his undoing, or can a high speed romance survive a mass destruction race?

This is, no joke, the movie my boyfriend and I watch every single Valentine's day. Think Speed Racer but even better. I really enjoy this movie, and so far everyone we've showed it to does as well. If you're looking for a fun time, a whole lot of action, marvelous hair, and to find out that love really does win all battles, then this is the movie for you.

Surpassed my expectations. Beautiful animations and a soundtrack you will want to listen to after the movie is done. So ridiculously over the top, but fun in its own right. The English dub is high quality if you don't want to read subtitles. If you are a fan of action orientated anime in general, you will enjoy this film.

Redline has a simple, straightforward plot, but is well told with likeable characters and blends genres to provide a memorable experience that is worth every penny. The animation is also intricate and detailed with smooth and fluid movement.

All hand drawn, and seven years in the making, this anime motion picture fires on all cylinders. The art style is kind of a retro anime meets Afro Samurai. The story line is that of a action movie with a lot of charm. Best anime purchase in a long time.

Hands down, one of the best anime movies made. Everyone that enjoys anime should watch this or own a copy of this.

Easily one on the most beautifully animated examples of anime I have ever seen. High definition in not just recommended, it a requirement to enjoy to the fullest.

Definitely an anime to experience. Its precise detail and style is beautiful to behold. Although the story is simplistic and predictable, the way it is conveyed in art is truly spectacular. Blu-ray provides an uncompromising experience in audio and video.

Colorful race of action, Speed racer-esk movie. one of my favorites

I had little to no expectations going into this movie, and I was still blown away. The animation is crisp, bright and well-drawn. The characters are all larger than life, and the movie is overall balls-to-the-wall racing action for 85 minutes straight.

Really great movie but the case for it was damaged on the inside so the disk moves around and will probably end up really scratched up after a short period.

If you're a fan of slick animation, jaw dropping visuals, and fast paced action. This is the show for you.

This is the best version of this movie. Blue ray all the way. The extra features are also good.

Worth watching just to see the amazing animation that took so long to complete. It's not too long and the story could have been a little better but it's still a very good film.

Great anime movie even if you are not a fan of racing. Really fun movie all around
