I prefer name brand water filters. This GE water filter is great and does a great job. I’ve used generic which are a little cheaper but I prefer the GE brand. I find that they work better.

Therefore they can charge whatever they want for the filter. $55 for the XWFE filter is exorbitant and ridiculous.

It was also harder to snap in. The first one we ordered didn't fit at all, but the second one we ordered did fit.
