Why is it an option? It was unboxed, the front door was removed, it was carried into position and connected for service, and then leveled. The front door was reinstalled. My old refrigerator was carried into the garage and the new box taken away. All DONE. The ad is confusing to say free installation for $29.99. It was free by using my existing water line. Check for FREE installation.

I too didn't realize it would be an issue but the two individuals delivering it were able to think of a solution and did ask for approval before implementing their suggestion. Worked out well in the end.

They told me step by step what was being done & gave a brief intro to using it when installation was complete. They left everything clean and didnt scratch walls or doors! A+!

Fridge set up

It hasn't leaked, so I'd say that was a successful installation and a worthwhile option.
