    The first LG Refrigerator was installed and tilted badly to the right looking from the front, it was replaced with an equal model, and the second refrigerator still tilts to the right. The two front leveling feet are intended to tilt the refrigerator towards the back so that the doors close automatically when opened 45°, they are not intended to tilt the unit right to left or viceversa. The floor is perfectly level so this a refrigerator manufacturing defect.

    We love our Kitchen Aid refrigerator, and the delivery service with water hookup was great. We have had no issues with leaks. Everything is working well.

    I am writing to document a formal complaint against the gentleman who delivered and "installed" my fridge as part of order #1121224858086 on Saturday 10/23/21 at 9:30am PT. I gave this account verbally to a Geek Squad agent and also emailed it to the customer service email address and got a most unhelpful response...they told me that I should go in person to a Geek Squad precinct to rectify the situation. Unbelievable. I was subjected to absolutely terrible, unprofessional, and rude delivery men who did not compete the jobs that were paid for. I paid extra for installation and gave specific instructions that I needed the doors to be reversed so that the fridge would open on the left. This was confirmed multiple times in advance with Best Buy. One of the delivery man argued with me when I asked the doors to be reversed (to open on the left) and insisted I “prove it” by showing him the receipt. I provided the official Best Buy email receipt several times which showed the installation line item and he dismissed it and said he didn’t see the $175 charge so insisted it was something different. I asked him multiple times to call his dispatch team to clear up the issue and he flat out refused, lying and saying that they “were closed because it’s Saturday.” There’s no way dispatch was closed on a day when people were out making deliveries. The delivery men also shorted out the electricity in my kitchen when they removed the old fridge and didn’t even attempt to help me troubleshoot it. I was trying to string extension cords together to reach the fridge to confirm it would turn on while waiting on hold on the phone to get a rep from Best Buy who would confirm they needed to reverse the doors. The delivery man kept making moves to leave and I said “Wait, please this hasn’t been installed. We don’t even know if the fridge powers on” to which he yelled at me in response “WELL YOU’RE ON THE PHONE!!!” I was waiting on hold via speaker phone for help from Best Buy and he knew that as I had explained it. He bolted and I followed him out to the truck in my slippers and stood in the middle of the street begging them to please finish installing the fridge and reminding them that it wasn’t powering on and the doors hadn’t been reversed as was paid for and supposed to be done with installation. The driver (who told me his name was Alex-which I don’t think was his actual name) lied and said they were going to another customer and would come back to me afterwards then drove away. Needless to say, they did not come back and left me completely bereft and didn’t do the job they were paid to do. I have never been treated so rudely or disrespectfully in my life, and this is an absolutely unacceptable delivery experience. There needs to be serious consequences for these men and Best Buy should not work with this company every again. License plate of the delivery men's truck is included. I am also shocked by the flippant and unhelpful response from customer service about this. I already called and vocalized my complaint to the Geek Squad on the day of the incident and they told me to also write it out and email it to [email protected]. I have spent enough time and effort on this hugely painful experience (including 20+ minutes recounting and writing out my complaint) only for customer care to now tell me to jump through another hoop. I am not going to physically travel to a location as that’s a huge inconvenience and bizarre ask, and I already called, waited on hold for a long time, and verbally lodged my complaint. My expectation is that this be routed to the appropriate internal people and that action will be taken.

    LG Installation Issues

    The LG fridge delivery and install did NOT go well. The first crew said they couldn’t connect to our existing water line because they needed a separate ‘junction’ box with cutoff valve recessed into the wall behind the fridge (they said they could not connect to the existing copper line). I told him that requirement was not noted clearly online and, in fact, the installation kit I was told I had to purchase had a compression fitting/nut to enable a copper line to connect to the fridge. He would not budge, and they left the new fridge in the garage until I could correct the ‘issue’. Fortunately, we we able to get a plumber out the next day to install a new line, in a new recessed box, with a cutoff valve… which cost me hundreds of dollars… and I was able to schedule another install crew to come out the next day. The first thing the new lead installer said was that fridge doors would have to be removed to get it to the target location, and they don’t do that. He was pretty adamant - even though I measured previously and, though tight, there was adequate clearance. Regardless, I then suggested they bring the fridge through the rear door (a bit wider) and that worked fine. The rear door is right next to the kitchen, and I would have thought a trained and experienced installer would be looking for options and identify an alt route - rather than me having to figure it out… and experiencing additional stress. They completed the install and left pretty quickly with no discussion about whether we were supposed to flush the line, including how much ice we needed to accumulate/dump to ‘clear’ the two ice makers. They made me feel rushed, even though I left them alone after the initial discussion re it fitting through the path to the install location. Also, they appeared indifferent to the time we spent getting everything out of the old fridge then, after the first team stated I’d have to get the new line/box installed, we had to put everything back into the old fridge… then take everything out again two days later. Related suggestions: 1) Educate installers on how to connect to a copper line and / or update online documentation to clearly state the no copper line rqmt. This should also be verbally stated by the sales person to add an additional validation to help avoid the problems we encountered. 2) Debris was left on top of the new fridge. 3) Tape was left in some spots, incl over the main vent that feeds cold air to the items in the door. 4) Neither ice maker has produced ANY ice… despite it being almost 2 days since it was installed. I could be wrong, but it seems the ice maker inside the door was not installed properly… as a bar that I believe helps eject ice into the bin hits the wall right under the ice maker and makes a clicking sound that sounds like it could cause damage (perhaps already has caused damage)… and the ice maker itself lifts up a little and also makes a banging sound when it does. I’ll be calling customer service to get this checked out and resolved - something that absolutely should not be required - especially not from the start!

    I’ve never been more impressed with a delivery in my life! One of the installers scoped out the path to the kitchen while the other unloaded the truck. They installed the fridge and made sure I was satisfied before they left. In and out in 20 minutes or so!!

    The waterline connected beautifully and simply to the refrigerator hook up. The "Geek Squad" performed the perfect delivery and installation of our new refrigerator and water system. It was a very smoothly done job, with no problems at all. "The Geeks" gave the simple to follow directions of when I should start up the ice maker after they left. The freezer had to get to the proper temperature so that the water, of course, would freeze first. The pouring of water immediately worked. I ran a few glasses and pitchers (included inside the refrigerator!!) of water and dumped those first few glasses to know that the waterline was clean and ready to use and drink!!!!! The first couple of bins of ice were also dumped, to get the ice mechanism clear and ready for clean usable ice (that included cubes and crushed!!). "The Geeks" gave me great instructions before leaving, phone numbers to call if there were any questions or concerns, and the waterline hookup and set up preparation went perfectly!!!! We love the outside water and ice convenience of our new refrigerator and the interior, automatically filled water pitcher, that came inside the refrigerator!!!! Thank you Best Buy and "Best Buy Geeks"!!!!!!!

    Old Fridge Dies, Best Buy for the Win!

    Install was done great as they had to pull the back door off to get the fridge in and no problems there. My only issue is the installers should be required to remove all plastic. Reason why is I found damage to the bottom of the freezer door. Dent in the stainless steel and in the plastic as well. The picture taken by the installers doesn’t give a good view of it so I would suggest multiple pictures from every angle. Overall the door is getting replaced because things happen so as long as that happens then we’re good.
