I was looking to upgrade, even though I have some pretty good subs already in my Home theater. Two SVS 3000’s.
For now, I unhooked one of the SVS subs.
I made the new REL my main stage sub.
I gave a little time before making this review.
First things first it’s a beautiful piece of audio equipment. It’s different than the SVS subs in that it’s more precise. Last night I watched the movie Extraction 2. Not only does this help the soundtrack of the movies you’re watching.
Gun shots, explosions, helicopters, vehicles, driving by all sound more real with this as my main stage sub. I was wanting to try the JL audio or Bowers and Wilkens. I think my search is over right here.

My first exposure to Rel was quite some time ago when I heard their Britannia line and was very impressed; very musical as everyone knows about Rel!
But around the same time I was very much into the HT thing and had been fortunate to acquire Sunfire’s very first True Sub.
Not long afterwards, I upgraded to the Signature model; it has served me very well for a very long time.
Fast forward to today; I had never really forgotten the musicality of the aforementioned Rel Britannia.
I decided it was time to revisit Rel.
The HT/1510 is a fantastic upgrade replacing an already formidable Sunfire TSEQ12 no longer in production, at least the Bob Carver US version.
Coming from the TSEQ12, I had extremely high expectations for this Predator!
I’m happy to report all of my bass requirements in terms of slam, definition, palpable dynamics and purely musical elements and more exist in this beast of a subwoofer!
Prior to acquiring the HT/1510, I had considered Adam Audio Sub15 at nearly fifty percent more and only because my HT consists of all Adam Audio pro-audio active monitors.
I’ve since decided not to pursue the Sub15 due in large part to how the Predator performs; very seamless integration with my entire system.
Not only is the bass so much better than ever, but the entire frequency spectrum of midrange and high frequencies has improved dramatically with a soundstage that just feels so right and natural, not to mention very deep and wide.
My HT has never sounded better and rivals anything I’ve yet seen or heard to date.
All this and the Predator hasn’t even been completely broken in; it just keeps getting better every day.
I had even considered acquiring two HT/1510’s but after configuring one properly and hearing it perform so well, I don’t even feel the need for two.
Although it would be awesome to have a pair!

I’ve owned pretty much every high end subwoofer brand one could purchase from SVS, Klipsch, Velodyne, Bowers & Wilkins etc. I’ve had this subwoofer for a few weeks and seems to get better quality with each movie or album I play on this subwoofer. This subwoofer for a 15’ inch woofer has shockingly precise quick responsive low bass that fills my living room with loud quality bass! The cabinet on this subwoofer is high quality for a 2k subwoofer for sure! I’m going to purchase another one of these soon to place on the other side of my entertainment system for even more room filling bass, eventually I’m going to stack them 3 high on each side!!!

This is my first time upgrading my subwoofer from an 8" Aperion 8D to a REL 1510. All I can say is "WOW". Without a doubt, I am impressed with the 1510. 1510 is an impressive capacity for tactile response and outright slam. I would highly recommend this subwoofer to anyone who is thinking about buying a new subwoofer. The only negative that I have with this subwoofer is the price compared to other competitors. I took advantage of the sale that REL provided on the HT lineup.

This is the 2nd 1510 in my system. Currently hooked up stereo via Rel's Airship ll providing a high level connection from my Evoke 50's. The 1510's excel at HT but are also superbly musical. Very fast, capable of subtle and room shaking bass. When these are on sale, they are a no brainer purchase if in within your budget.

There was a nice sale on these subs so I bought two of them to test out. One sub came damaged from shipping and bestbuy was able to work something out with me so I wouldn't lose the sale price. Tested these subs out and I'm blown away by the sound quality of these. The bass is very clean and fast, sounds very good for home theater and music. I tested these in a closed room so YMMW on how bass sounds. I sold my SVS SB4000 after listening to these Rel subs. The SVS seems like it dug deeper and more output but these sounded better.

I bought this 1000 watt subwoofer to compliment my 5 Klipsch Heresey IV speakers in my Home Theater. The Klipsch are super efficient and the REL HT1510 keeps up with them flawlessly. Be careful setting these up so they do not overpower your speakers and they will blend together beautifully. I am 75% Video and 25% music. Works for both with no effort. Don't confuse HT for only home theater. My vinyl never sounded better!

absolutely awesome! I tried to listen to them in store but their setup was trash and didn't fully showcase what they could do. I was looking for something to hit lower than my existing t9's and they definitely do! I can't wait to dial them in and perfect them. A word of caution though. They are extremely heavy. So make sure you have a second person or a furniture dolly to help you move them

The REL - HT/1510 subwoofer has exceeded all my expectations, delivering an unparalleled audio experience. The bass quality is truly exceptional, adding depth and richness to both movies and music. When watching films, I feel completely immersed, as if I'm sitting in a high-end movie theater. For music enthusiasts, this subwoofer takes every genre to the next level, making tracks absolutely come alive with powerful, precise low-end frequencies. The REL's ability to enhance the overall soundstage while maintaining clarity is remarkable. Whether you're a cinephile or an audiophile, this subwoofer is a game-changer that will dramatically improve your home audio setup.

This subwoofer offers deep bass and will shake the house if turned up. Very heavy and may require a second person to carry in and set up. Simple set up and clean looks. May want to check size of the room its going in before purchase due to size of this sub.

This subwoofer really fills the room with low base. Helps the movie watching to be a very clean and powerful chest shaking movies. It is a little expensive, but it's worth it.

I acknowledge that my sole regret lies in not having made the purchase earlier. Predator for the LFE and T9x for the center channel. An unparalleled addition to enhance your home theater setup. Believe me, there's a multitude of movies you'll find yourself revisiting.
