Very Satisfied Customer
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.REL T/7x Subwoofer The REL T/7x subwoofer is a stellar addition to any hi-fi or home theater setup, delivering superb sound quality that elevates the listening experience to new heights. As a self-professed audio enthusiast, I’ve been thoroughly impressed with its performance, and it’s quickly become a centerpiece of my system. Design and Build: The T/7x boasts a sleek, compact design that blends seamlessly into any room. Available in high-gloss white, its gently rounded corners and polished lacquer finish give it a modern, elegant look. Measuring just 14.0 x 12.6 x 14.3 inches and weighing 38.5 lbs, it’s small enough to tuck away discreetly yet feels solidly built, with billet aluminum feet that keep it firmly planted. The front-firing 8-inch FibreAlloy driver and down-firing 10-inch passive radiator are thoughtfully engineered, contributing to both its aesthetic and acoustic prowess. Sound Quality: The sound quality of the T/7x is nothing short of exceptional. Designed with a music-first approach, it delivers fast, articulate bass that integrates effortlessly with main speakers. Listening to tracks like Charlie Houston’s “Cranberry,” the subwoofer enhances the underlying bass line with subtlety and precision, adding depth without overpowering the mix. The bass extension is robust, reaching down to 30 Hz, and it maintains clarity even at low frequencies, avoiding the bloated or boomy sound common in lesser subwoofers. For movies, the T/7x shines in scenes demanding dynamic low-end impact. In Deep Water Horizon, the subwoofer brought visceral detail to the chaos—bursting pipes and grinding engines felt palpable, with enough room pressure to immerse me in the action. Its 200-watt Class A/B amplifier ensures controlled, tuneful bass that doesn’t sacrifice finesse for power. The T/7x’s speed is particularly noteworthy; it keeps up with fast musical transients, as evidenced in tracks like Trentemøller’s “Chameleon,” where the bass remains tight and responsive. What sets the T/7x apart is its ability to “disappear” into the system. When properly dialed in—using REL’s signature high-level input connected to the amplifier’s speaker terminals—the subwoofer blends so seamlessly that you forget it’s there. It enhances the entire soundstage, adding weight and spatial depth to both music and movies. Switching it off reveals just how much it contributes; the sound collapses, losing presence and gravitas. Setup and Features: Setting up the T/7x is straightforward, though it rewards patience. Using the high-level Speakon cable, I connected it to my amplifier’s speaker outputs, following REL’s recommendation to set the crossover low (around 10-15 clicks) and adjust the volume (11-16 clicks) for a single sub. Fine-tuning the phase and placement—ideally in a corner or near the main speakers—yields the best results. While it lacks a mobile app for adjustments, the manual controls are intuitive, and once set, I rarely needed to tweak them. The optional Arrow wireless system is a nice touch for those seeking cable-free flexibility. Pros and Cons: Pros: Superb sound quality with fast, detailed, and musical bass; seamless integration with speakers; elegant, compact design; versatile for music and movies. Cons: Limited low-frequency extension (30 Hz) may not satisfy those craving subterranean movie rumble; no app-based control; premium price ($1,099 MSRP) compared to budget alternatives. Verdict: The REL T/7x is a triumph of engineering, offering audiophile-grade performance in a compact, stylish package. Its superb sound quality—marked by speed, clarity, and seamless integration—makes it a standout for music lovers and home theater enthusiasts alike. While it may not deliver the deepest cinematic thump, its ability to enhance every aspect of the audio experience is unmatched at this price point. I love how it transforms my system, adding depth and realism that I didn’t know I was missing. For anyone seeking a subwoofer that prioritizes musicality without sacrificing impact, the T/7x is a must-audition. Highly recommended Disclaimer: This review is based on my experience and insights from various sources, reflecting the T/7x’s performance in a typical listening environment. Always audition and adjust settings to suit your room and preferences.

Outstanding clarity
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use this subwoofer for home theater (via LFE connection) and stereo music (via high level input). It has the punch needed for movies, and the detail and nuance for music as well. It fills a medium sized room very well for such a compact unit.

||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Quality reflects in the sound ! and the speed is the Key of effect that impresses the more. Best for Music but does not fall short for Movies ! Size of the room matters so make sure its been taken into consideration. This 8" is at level of other 12" so dont go for its size!

Solid sub
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good sounding subwoofer. Looks great. White color is slightly greyer than our furniture but matches pretty well. Good connection options and adjustments to customize to your situation.

Musical enhancement in mid bass
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nice mid base sub as advertised. No complaints at all. No issues with high level connection to clas D amp. Not using for LFE at this time. Runnjng duel subs in medium size room 15 x 18 open to dinette kitchen and hall way. Works well for 2 channel. Runnig seperate sub for home theater, lower hitting for LFE in my opinion. Probably Rel s models would be better for running double duty as designed. Like the ability to run both connections. Very musical and filling . Works well with my Focal bookshelf speakers. Would buy again. Nice finish and appearance in room.

REL t7x is Huge improvement over t5x!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Running PM8006 with Oberon 5s, Spotify Premium through Blu Sound Node. A Rel t5x also in the setup. Been looking for some lower fuller lowend for 2.1 music only. Considering the Lintons as the next step. Do not want to give up the Dalis though. In steps the t7x, never in my wildest expectations did I expect the change. The t7x raised the entire soundfield to a level I never thought possible. From fuller highs to deeper bass and everything has more detail and seperation. I tried SVS sb1000, micro 3000, rel t5x as a keeper, but none of these did what the t7x did. To die for sound . I have been working this room for nearly 4 years now. 20 sets of speakers 5 subs and 6 amps. T7x is the crowning jewel. Zero Fidelity on u tube did a review of the previous rel 7 model. His review is exactly what the t7x did. If you love 2 channel music with a sub dont hesitate.

Just buy it!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If the REL-T/7X did half the things claimed in reviews I read while researching subwoofers I'd have been happy but it does them all. I got the setup and calibration done in under 40 minutes. A good match for my B&W floor standers and since it is now doing the sub-bass duties it has freed my B&W's up to do more of what they were meant to do. Bass is superb with the added bonuses of a larger soundstage and more detailed music reproduction. Recordings I thought I knew inside out have revealed new details and subtleties. This sub will make a massive upgrade to your system.

Music heaven
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am not a bass heavy listener. I like full spectrum music. I got a pair of the T/7x black to go with the Ref R11. The R11 on is own is great, but with T7x. It just brings the whole setup to the next level of enjoying the music. My setup is in 24x24 room, the T7x is just around 9 o'clock vol setting. I am using the high-pass cable. The REL sub is a must for those who is looking for full spectrum listening. I really happy with my purchase, highly recommended.

REL - t/7X Sub Woofer
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This sub woofer has a tight deep low base. It integrates well with the main speakers as a result of connecting directing to the speaker output terminals of the amp. The REL is fed the exact signal that is fed to the main speakers. Thus it integrates seamlessly with the main speakers. Very pleased with sound!
