    First off there installation department doesn't have a clue. Charged me like an extra $100 to remove the old alarm which was okay with me but then it began. I ended up going back 3 or 4 times because the alarm wouldnt stop going off. I went out of the country and it went off for a solid 2 days until it killed the batterie. It was like 2 weeks before I could get in so I had to disable the alarm. Which meant I had to take everything out of the van overnight. So I get it in. Pick it up they say everything is okay. Get it home and 20 minutes into arming it starts going off like clock work, So I make another appointment. Drop it off they put another alarm in it. Bring it home. The same thing. Bring it back up there. They said it was the battery which didnt make much since to me. But since I had put an older battery in there from where the alarm killed the last one I figured I try that. Put the new battery in.. SAme thing. So the lack of installer said bring it in and they would just. Take it out and refund my money. So I dropped it off that night but they had gone home early and no one was at the installation shop. I left the keys with one of the people in the store. When I bought the van I didnt get a door key. Anyway I gets a call the next day the installer locked the door and can't get in. So I have to pay a locks smith $100 to go out there and open the door. Once I pick the van up they only refund the amount that the alarm cost. So i'm out of $200 extra dollars plus all the head aches involved. The kicker is I made an took it to a real shop and the put it in and it works fine.

    We had to make a second trip due to nobody telling us that both key fobs had to be programmed but the installer was very nice and efficient.

    The installer did a fantastic job and quickly, no damage to my car or reduced performance. Would get more things installed by them again.

    Great product, keyfob it came with has a good 800 ft. range. Bought my wife the upgrade keyfob with has an incredible 1-mile range!

    Car alarm and remote locks never worked correctly

    I had a Viper cal alarm with remote locks installed on my 2009 Nissan Rogue. There were problems from the beginning. The alarm would go off when it shouldn't and it was impossible to stop with the key fob or car mounted control button. We would have to wait for it to stop sounding on its own. The problem would come and go. I took the car in several times for troubleshooting but the problem kept returning. After 8 months of back and forth, with several appointments canceled by the technicians, I finally asked Best Buy to remove the alarm and remote locks entirely. Of course by this point, it was too late to get any kind of refund. The technician said if he could figure out a solution to the problem, he would reinstall it for free. But I havent heard anything back a couple weeks after the alarm was uninstalled, so I doubt that ever happens.

    I live about a two plus hour round trip from the closest Best Buy. I ended up going down there 4 times before they got it right. First time they over scheduled and couldn't get me in, even though I was the first appointment of the day, go figure!!! The next time I went down the installer was sick... They told me they would call me and reschedule, which they never did... So three weeks later I called and made an appointment and once again went down there and they were over scheduled, again... I really needed a remote start because of where I live my windows were iced up horribly each morning, It just made it easier... Had I not gotten an incredibly good price on the product, I definitely would not have pursued it, I would have just canceled and returned the product... Once it was installed it works great... The manager promised to make it right, due to all the hassle and inconvenience I had, but that never happened!!!
