I have used Best Buy to install a remote car in the past. Great car starter and perfect installation. I used them to install my current car's remote starter. It was programmed incorrectly and won't stay on when the car is started or when I open the car door. I'm disappointed in my experience. Hopefully they'll be able to fix it when I can take it back.

Purchase a Viper DS4 remote start previously and everything was working fantastic for approximately 2 years. I needed to change my vehicle batteries and the remote start quit working. I scheduled an appointment for reprogramming and they couldn't get it to work. They talked me into purchasing a Compustar remote start and they still couldn't get that to work. After a bunch of excuses they finally got it to work but when I asked if it was programmed for a diesel engine and a delay for the glow plugs they didn't know what glow plugs were. The install guys have no idea what they are doing and have a bunch of their friends running around inside and out and is very unprofessional. I'm going to reach out and fill out a complaint

Dislike the service at there shop the guy didn't even greet me It took 3 hours to install didn't even offer any seat till there where almost done. The instructions given to me we're wrong had to go back and ask for them. Again took there time to even help they should always print instructions out to there costumers is should be a priority.

Best Buy was able to get installation the same week as car starter purchase.

After confirming with the store that the installation bay would be able to remove an existing malfunctioning after-market security system, we went through the process of scheduling the install. Due to schedule issues with the install bay we needed to reschedule. After dropping off the car and leaving we heard back from the bay that they could not install anything because we had an pre-existing after-market security system. Sigh. Everyone we dealt with was very nice, but there is a pretty big disconnect between the sales floor and the install bay that, in our case, caused us a lot of hassle and frustration.

Appointments are worse then a doctors office. It was an hour past appointment time before the install started.
