They don’t like to install

The day of installation was called and told I must make new appointment due to time and he didn’t have the correct tools. So I had to wait a month for my next appointment. My next appointment was first in the morning. I showed up on time to drop truck off. Once there the tech said I don’t think I’ll have time today maybe we should reschedule. After explaining I wasn’t going to reschedule he unhappily took the truck. After having the truck for an hour he called me to say there would be no way of getting it done and I should reschedule. After once again explaining I wasn’t going to reschedule and that if it took longer than an entire day. We’d have to start today and finish another day since I had a whole day already. He said I should have been scheduled more time I explained your installation expert scheduled the time. After complaining he reluctantly said he’d work on it. Then I received a call at 3pm saying it was ready. Obviously they don’t like installing alarms. Something that was going to take multiple days took 5 hours. My scheduled allotment. What a joke

Sketchy install. Lack of follow up.

Tried to call with questions—even referencing the installer by name—and gave gotten no response. There was a relay rolling around on the floor of my car. Some features just don’t work. I had this model of alarm installed on my previous vehicle and it worked fine (also installed at the same Best Buy location 6 years ago). Some features just aren’t there. Bump sensor doesn’t work—I could have sex against this car and the alarm will not sound. Return my calls and maybe I wouldn’t be writing a crap review about your lackluster This experience has soured me on Best Buy. Not letting you guys touch any of my vehicles ever again.

They canceled 2nd appointment and said it would be a month before they could install it. They have only one technician for our area. So i canceled my order and sent it back. Will never order anything that needs to be installed by best buy.

Geek Squad Car remote star

I started getting battery drainage problem and then my car door light stayed on. I went back to geek squad and they said everything is right. I got the system removed by paying money to another mechanic and all problem went away. Very poor installation. I am now trying to call everyone for help and not getting any help. Just getting transferred from one place to another.

I purchased with a special from Best Buy...when I went to have it installed...i bought the wrong one so I was charged for a new one. They put it in Christmas Eve 2018. Took almost 2 hours and then it was not put in properly. The fob that came with it will only unlock my doors. To start the car I have to hit unlock on my car fob three times and then I don't know if it worked. I still have to go outside to see if it started. NEVER AGAIN

Only downside is the appointments are atleast a month out! So be prepared. Also had to travel to a far away Bestbuy to get it done sooner. My local one was two months out.

Check your car before you leave

After I notice I called and they are willing to fix but put me on a schedule 1 month out. This is my 16 year old daughters car and I don’t like the fact that now she doesn’t have her interior lights when she get off work at night. So make sure everything is together before you leave or there’s no telling when they may fix it. I was also told that they have customers schedule. I guess my money was paid and now I’m not a customer and only an afterthought.

Mediocre Install

I called Directed and they started that it should be an easy install. I took my vehicle back to the installer on March 2nd and demanded that the install be completed or took the device off the vehicle and refund me my money. Strangely after an hour the install came an told me that the problem was fixed and the system is working.

Still Waiting

I checked with the associate who sold it to me that I had paid for everything and I was all set. I was very excited to get the starter in my vehicle but understood that I would have to wait since this is a busy time of year for things like that. I am reasonable so when I had to wait a month for it to be installed I understood. The day before my appointment I did receive a call confirming my appointment. The day of the appointment came and I do not have a starter installed in my vehicle!! When I arrived I was told that they did not have the part needed to install it. Not only that but I would have to reschedule my appointment for OVER ONE MONTH LATER!! They needed to order the part and that it would be here no earlier than the 21st of December. I'm sorry but what is the point of even scheduling an appointment if the store is not going to have what they need to install the product?? They had a month to get the part needed and still no part? The technician even said that this had been happening to a couple of their customers. Really?? Why does this keep happening then? So now I get to wait ANOTHER month because they were not ready for my scheduled appointment. Next time I will NOT be going to Best Buy for anything that I need to be installed!!

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The installation tech that installed this on my car was EXTREMELY unprofessional and rude to me‼️‼️‼️‼️ I waited for a little over 3 hours, with no notice of problems, and then the tech came out, informed me there was a problem and he couldn’t figure it out. He said I could either make another appointment ( and wait at least another month or longer, while people that purchased after me got their installations done ‼️) or get a refund‼️‼️ When I tried to talk to him, he was VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND RUDE TO ME ‼️‼️‼️ I tried to talk to Best Buy management about this issue, by calling customer service, chat, etc. but was unable to get anyone to help me (chat tech did give me a $20 gift card and helped me not half to wait a month to get installed), but I was unable to get ANYONE to help me talk to management or the store about my ISSUE ‼️‼️ I couldn’t call the store myself because I was informed a month before but store staff when I picked up items to be installed they they didn’t answer their phone because they were short staffed and had no one to answer ‼️‼️‼️‼️ I did a review on satisfaction and asked that management call me, to NO AVAIL AGAIN ‼️‼️ I thought BEST BUY cared about customers and bad treatment of them, but I guess I found out different ‼️‼️ I guess since they have plenty of paying customers, loss of ones don’t matter‼️ Very disappointed ‼️‼️

Horrible experience beware

Called customer support to verify ( spent about half hour on the phone to do so) come to find out that the guy on chat was misinformed and they wouldnt be able to install for over a month so i cancelled the order and Best Buy only refunded part of my total. Long story short im dealing with the bank and spending alot of time trying to get the rest of the money refunded. Ive uploaded chat transcripts reciets and countless other documents. Dont know about the product never recieved it. To me Best Buy need to work on customer relations before i will ever purchase anything from them. Beware.
