    I purchased the remote start for installation in Bridgewater New Jersey, and had an appointment set - - waiting 2 months. I arrive at the Bridgewater store only to be told the installation department was closed permanently and my purchase was cancelled (I received a confirmation of my appointment via email - - two days prior. The best the store manager could say was we don’t understand how this could happen. That sounds like great controls and great service for a technical company. That is sarcasm. I was given an appointment at another store farther away with another month wait. i just have to trust Best Buy will still be in business on date of installation. I received NOTHING in compensation for lost time and travel.

    Terrible… hasn’t worked since I had it installed. Drained my car battery but it won’t start my car. Terribly disappointed and frustrated. Have to have an appointment for someone to fix their mistake which is totally not acceptable

    Geek Squad was fine, but the overall purchase of the product was terrible. After difficulty purchasing car starter online, went into store to purchase and set up installation date. Even though I gave the make and model of my car, said all is a go. Took a day off work to bring in car for installation and was told that the starter wasn’t comparable with my car.

    Not worht it. When I purchase this remote start, they make my appointment and book the same appointment, date and time with another person. Now I have to pay twice for them to install the system in my car. It’s not worth. They’re going to hassle.

    Terrible experience with your staff making me purchase unnecessary equipment and for months leading up to my appointment only for me to get there and they tell me they cannot install the remote start. I receive my refund and I’m handed back my product only for me to notice my two way remote was not put back in the box and now I’m missing a 80$ remote to my remote starter. I will never do business with this place again and you should train your geek squad people to not steal and actually know the products they are selling.

    Our scheduled 3 hour appointment to install the remote start in my daughters Subaru ended up not being ready until the next day. 45 minutes after it was supposed to be ready she was told 30 more minutes, an hour later she was told it was almost ready. It wasn't until over 2 hours past the pickup time was she told the technician broke the brake switch. It was very frustrating that there was no communication from the technician to the customer without the customer having to inquire about the status. I had to stop what I was doing to go and pick her up before closing, and was told they'd let her stay inside if I didn't make it before they closed. I said I'd appreciate that not making my teenager wait outside in the sub-freezing temps. She ended up having to call into work last minute because of the lack of communication. All in all it cost almost 3 hours and over 100 extra miles driven to pickup what should have taken 3 hours. The technician was very polite in store, and I do appreciate that he replaced the broken brake switch with a new one first thing the next morning. That being said I was VERY disappointed in the lack of communication.

    My appointment was for 3:30 got there and was informed it would be at least another half hour before my car would even be gotten to

    Purchased a remote starter during .black Friday week. Be tried charging me full price at time of purchase. I had to prove it was on sale. The soonest install date was Dec 27. Over s month later. When I arrived for the install I was told they need 2 master keys. That information would have been nice to have at the time of purchase. I did happen to have 2 keys with me. But the installer said he had no idea if my keys were master. If either one was not the remote starter would not work. I was told if it doesn't work. They would refund me the price for the remote start ($99). But charge me ($120) for installation. I spoke to the acting store manager. I asked Since I was not told to bring two master keys at time of purchase would they waive the $120 fee to return the remote starter if it doesn't work. He agreed. When we went back to the installation department the manager said no I can't waive the fee. I checked with a locksmith. They said yes both of my keys are masters. I called to get the unit installed. I was told February 29 is the soonest I can get it rescheduled.

    Installed, they made a minor mistake that they had to correct. Took a second schedule install. Wasnt really happy about that.

    the car alarm is installed incorrectly because it only works on one door and some it doe work at all. I am not sure if it’s the product it self or if it’s human error. I called Best Buy since it was installed and I can’t get a positive feedback and answers.

    Lets just say I paid for two renote starts in the beginging of December, had a scheduling issue that sent me to West Jordan, and didnt get installed. Then rescheduled, for amonth later. The guy found a earlier install for day after christmas but installer said there wasnt enough time to do either car. They moved things around and said they could do it. End of the day they got one car done and asked if i could bring other car back next day. Brought it back next day and also had to bring the one car back because Viper App was not setup. Then the second car didnt get finished til closing, they had it all day. Got home, and it was also not setup correctly and had to reschedule again. After two more visits, it is now set up but the App isnt working correctly. I get that stuff happens but this is honestly the worst experiebce I have ever had.

    We had to drive 90 miles because local store installer was on paternity leave. They were super nice, but got home and the car turns off when you get in and the head lights can’t be turned off. Now we have to drive 75 miles to get it fixed

    I know the installer is super busy and over-worked...but a 30sec 'promised' call-back would have made the difference between this 'poor' review and a 'good' review! Brought my vehicle in on 1/19 for a scheduled remote starter install (waited almost a month for this appointment). Installer tried several times to program the compustar module, with no luck. He said he would try again on Monday (1/20)...thinking compustar website might be down...and "call me". No call back. Called Tuesday...installer off. Called Wednesday... Thursday...Friday...Saturday...Monday...installer "doesn't like to take calls while doing install" (totally understandable). However...every promised call-back "after he's done with current install" never happened! Geek Squad manager promised installer will call me after current install...it's going on 5hrs and still nothing. All I need is a quick"YES or NO" on the module programming...so I can decide what to do next. I guess the next step is returning the items because I can't get an answer or a call-back.

    Terrible....... i come to my appointment yesterday far from my area because installers are apparently hard to come by at Best Buy. I arrive to be told my appointment is will not happen due to parts unavailable. Then find out it there but now thry have already started on new customers. I need to reschedule!! Still 20 minutes into my Appointment time! Never experienced something so rude and unthoughtful if people's time in my life. Im done with Best Buy for good

    My order was cancelled and I reordered. I had to make 2 trips to best buy and 3 long calls to bestbuy customer service. Store was asking me to call customer service and customer service was asking to go back to store for the refund. After a long back and forth finally got my refund

    Made an appt to get the remote start installed, upon arrival I was told they didn’t know if they could install it, I was told that my car may prove to difficult to do even though it comes up on there computer that it can be installed, I was told they would have to “consult” with the master installer and they would let me know. Waited 2 weeks and nothing, tried calling a bunch of times but could not get to a live person, once again I drive 35 min to the store to be told that the install bay has already closed, the clerk at the customer service desk took my phone number and said that someone would call me the next day. Nothing, waited another week or so and went to the store once again asked for a manager and ended up just returning the item, a lot of aggravation and running around which should of been avoided. Even now if I go to the Best Buy website and put my vehicle in it says it can be installed. Ridiculous.

    When purchased I thought was getting the t harness with remote starter but he never mentioned it comes with installation or that I was paying for installation so I never made appt bc didnt know was option. Now I cant seem to install myself bc of the wiring harness and cant get installed without paying the 110 again. Once its resolved I will fix the 1 star rating

    Purchased the one button car start. Product doesn’t work through windows. Have to go outside to start the vehicle. Turns off after a short period of time. Not enough time to sufficiently warm up vehicle. Doesn’t work with cars electronic lock and unlock. Have to use physical key to enter vehicle. Not impressed. Waist of money. Only reason 2 stars is because it at the least starts the car.
