Got me im ahead of schedule and was also done faster than they said

The tech did a great job as expected and showed me how to operate the system. However the radio, the seat and the thermostat were messed with and it wasn’t because of a disconnected battery. The tech moved the car less then 50 feet, there was no excuse to make any changes to the customer personal settings in a customer’s personal vehicle. The radio was not on, it wasn’t screaming, loud, I don’t do that and the radio was off. Over all, I was happy but techs should never make unauthorized changes in a customer’s vehicle.

They installed the unit in less time than expected, gave me a full overview of how to operate the starter, took their time showing me how everything worked and answeredall of my questions - it was just another very rewarding installation by the Squad!

The service technicians and team were respectful, but my product does not work as advertised or recommended, and it's difficult to know whether it's due to a terrible product or poor installation service. I had a Viper impact alarm installed in my Toyota. I was quoted 2 hours for installation, and it took 5.5 hours. I was not called at any point during the installation for any kind of courtesy update. I had to physically check in on the status of my vehicle and began doing so at 3.5 hours. The installation was messy. Wires were hanging all over the place, and one of the wire coatings had been cut. My mechanic tucked them all behind vehicle panels for me so that when I used the emergency/parking break I wouldn't rip them all out. The Viper does not seem to be working properly. My car was hit hard enough to damage it at least three times and the sensor never tripped. The alarm also does not trigger when I open the rear passenger doors. If I open the front door when the alarm is set, I'm usually in the driver's seat and almost buckled by the time the alarm goes off. Seems like an enormous waste of money, not to mention the time I put in to having it installed. Presumably I should be able to change the sensitivity settings on the alarm. However, I was not given the installation instructions when I left the store to be able to easily verify this.

I was not told that the remote start function of this item would not work with my car. I could have bought a nicer security system that didn't have remote start feature if the Best buy website had prompted me once I put the model and make of my car in. I was not informed this until I was dropping off my car. Then I was also told after they had installed the system that they wouldn't be able to put the alarm on two of my doors. And that I'd have to spend an extra like $150 plus just for installation to do the security system on the other back doors. This is all things that should have been told to me when I made the purchase and put the make and model of my car in and it should also been told to me before the installation started happening.

Whenever the battery disconnected then you would have to reprogram the starter again

have this remote starter installed on my wife camry as a Valentine gift for her to keep her warm during the cold season. It works like a champ, and she love it. Thanks, Best buy!

When i bought the security system it said that will fit on my car Pt Cruiser 2004 Base model, when I called to the Geek squad to change the date of installation I asked if that security system will be ok for my car, he say yes, when I arrived for installation I asked the Technician if that will be ok for my car he said yes, 2 minutes later he came back and told he can install it because I need to changes one part of the car and they don't do that, was just a waste of time...

The installer was very proficient and knowledgeable and did clean work.
