    This alarm system is exhaustingly embarrassing, after setting my alarm and walking away, my alarm sets itself off... It goes through 3 cycles of alarms. I walked back to check the sensitivity of the alarm trying to set off the alarm by pulling on the door handle and or kicking the tire and my alarm does not activate. This is annoying to myself and my neighbors. The installation took from 10am-7pm at a Best Buy for a total of 9hrs... Called to make an appointment (over a month ago) to have it fixed and couldn't get a weekend appointment until (Saturday) September 16th at 10am and the troubleshooting is said to take about 5hrs. I am very frustrated as you might be able to tell.

    Vehicle Remote Start - Gone Wrong

    Technician called me and told me the product (listed on the site as supported) wasn't truly supported and would void any warranty I have on my vehicle. Told me it was on me to cancel, nothing he could do on his end. I am unable to cancel the product and he won't do the work on it. Very frustrated/exhausted.

    TRY ANSWERING THE PHONE

    I ordered a Compustar 2-way remote start for my Excursion in early January. Showed up to my appt on 2/1/24, and was told the harness was used on another installation. Though not previously mentioned, was told I'd have to have both keys to my Excursion for the install. No big deal. Rescheduled to 2/4/24; 4 hours before install, realized wife had other key with her on trip she was on out of state. I called 12 times over an hour and a half to try to reschedule the appt, and the MOTHER TRUCKING IVR system would either put me on hold forever, or keep asking me "can you repeat that?" I COULDN'T GET A REAL PERSON AT THE STORE OR 1-800-BESTBUY TO ANSWER THE PHONE. I will go to a local shop, pay a little more, and not be disgusted with how TERRIBLE the Rogers, AR location is both inside and how they treat their customers.

    install was fine. problem is for the smartstart system it cost an additional $100 per yr or $300 3 yrs. now 4+ yrs later need a new module to upgrage to 5g network and have to pay for installation again. i would skip this system altogether not cost effective

    The remote start system was draining my car battery. I took the car back to Best Buy to have them take a look, but they claim that it wasn't and that there was nothing they could do.

    Called today to confirm my appointment and was told I didn't have one and couldn't get another appointment until March. This appointment was booked on December 7th and January 24th was the first available appointment at that time so I booked it. Now we have to drive a half hour away to get the appointment in March. Not cool.

    The installation was done they where nice but I was told by the salesman that my door lock would open and close that it was included it wasn’t and I had to purchase actuators and pay someone else make it v lock and unlock with the remote

    Compustar remote start

    Brought my vehicle into the shop and was told it should only take 1and a half hours. 3 and a half hours later the remote start worked but stayed running when the key was removed. Got home and realized I had no brake light. After looking into the problem I found the brake light switch was never reconnected and the wire that was spliced into it was exposed. I taped the wire up and plugged the switch back in. Remote start works like its supposed to now. The geek squad auto installation guys are a joke

      I believe that it's necessary to trust the installers who work on my property and having what you've described occur would certainly impact that. For these concerns, I would strongly recommend revisiting the store and speaking to the Autotech who completed your installation.
