I had a terrible experience with Best Buy auto install. Even though the appointment details say they will call you the day before and the day of your install, I never received a call to discuss the details of my installation. Had they actually done this, hours of my time would not have been wasted. Since I did not receive these calls, I tried it reach out to them. I called the store several times as well as general Best Buy support. I could not get a human to even talk to me. It was loop after loop if being on hold, transferred elsewhere, and/ or disconnected. I probably spent 4 hours without ever talking to a human at the store. I finally talked to a "human" via the online chat. The online chat help assured me everything was all set. I drove 2 hours for my appointment. The first guy who took my vehicle and checked me in assured me he had done this before on my vehicle and it was a 3-4 hour job. 30 min later I get a frantic call from the tech about how there are problems. I return to the store and not only does he go on and on about splicing wires (I bought the wiring harness so that there shouldn't need to be the splicing) and interfering with the factory alarm (I don't have the factory alarm), he then encouraged me to return the items saying they weren't compatible (which I had already confirmed through Best Buy were compatible with my vehicle) Then, he pulls up an internet blog from a guy that has the OEM remote part and tells me I should do the MOPAR one that guy has (which I wouldn't be getting an aftermarket remote start if I had the factory one)! He even called Mopar while I was there, and they of course told him that os the factory option, not an after market plug and play I can get. The guy clearly had no clue what he was doing, so much so that he couldn't figure out how to cancel my appt and do a return. I was left with no choice but to at least try to schedule another appointment with a different tech. While I do have another appt scheduled now, it shows as "warranty/repair" and he actually confirmed the initial install service today as completed (the service that never happened). So, now I also have to sort that out. Upon driving 2 hours back home and after hours of my own research (the Best Buy auto techs of course couldn't bother to look into this), I came to realize that part of the problem is that the install included the wrong wiring harness. So, now I have figure out how to get a human to talk to that can make sure I can swap to the right harness, make sure my future install is correct since the system shows it now as completed, and that the next auto tech actually knows what he is doing. All of this could easily be avoided if you could actually get a direct call into the store or the Auto techs and have a conversation with a human.

We purchased this remote start for our son's 2008 Corolla. Little did we know, there was already one on the car. The technician who helped us went above and beyond to try to determine if the remote start could be reset or repaired. Unfortunately, he was not able to help so we ended up returning the remote start but are very grateful for the time and effort he provided. Thank you!

The installer was friendly and called us when the remote start was installed. He called us when the install was as done. It took about an hour and half. He explained how to work the remote and was very patient. We’re enjoying the remote start. Thank tou
