    First, the technician did not put the steering wheel back together properly so the steering wheel was locking up when driving the car. We had to take the truck back and the technician fixed that issue. Next, the technician did not provide us with the manual that came with the starter, so we had to download a copy off the internet. And lastly, the technician did not actually program both of the starters, so only one of them worked. After downloading the manual, we fixed the problem ourselves as we did not want to go back a third time....

    It took them a long time to install my autostart I went to the store after three hours and found the installers just hanging out talking with people instead of finishing their job ..

    I purchased a remote start and free installation from geek squad came with it. I did everything online and after the purchase I made my appointment for install. Once the appointment was set it prompted me to ask any questions or send feedback to the tech that I assume was doing the install. So I sent them the model of the remote start and information on the vehicle just as a double check and asked if there was anything else I needed to bring besides what was sent. I never received an email back in those two weeks prior to the appointment. Went to the appointment and the tech right away asked me if I brought a 2nd key and I was dumb founded because no one told me about this when I emailed them. Luckily I guess the tech didn't need it, but if he did that would have been nice to know prior to going there. Not like I want to make another 25 mile trip back there for no reason... So the appointment was made for 11:30- 2:15, didn't get the car back until 3:15 and I was there the whole time. No call or anything while I was in the store saying sorry it's taking a little longer than expected but instead I had to walk back there and the car was still not together. I know what is involved with Installing a remote start, but there should be no reason it takes almost 4 hours to do it. So maybe the tech didn't know what he was doing, oh well, but the fact that he didn't even acknowledge that he took longer than the appointment was set for bothered me. No apology or anything. Terrible customer service and I will never be using them again. Can't wait till I take the dash apart to see this wiring job!

    So my appointment was canceled without any notice, i had to wait for 2 hours and they told me to leave the car there. I spent pretty much 6 hours without transportation.

    Waited 2 weeks for the appointment for the installation on a Sunday. Arrived on time just to be told that they have to rescheduled because they have a new GM and he’s cutting hours and the tech that was supposed to work on my car isn’t there. Wished they could’ve called. Rescheduled for the following Thursday at 1:45 just to be sure there’s a tech. Took half day off work just to get a call an hour and half before the scheduled time to tell me that the tech doesn’t know how to do remote start, and he will call the Burleson store to see if they can get me in. Never call me back so I rescheduled online at the cedar hill store for the upcoming Sunday. Hopefully this store is being manage better and can get my installation done. but I’m not holding my breath. So far, this is the worst experience I’ve ever had with the bestbuy in Arlington. Don’t even waste your money or time there.

    Unfortunately when you have multiple vehicles on the same app, The last one started becomes the default , even if you never changed it on another smart phone.

    Very Very Poor Customer Service by Geek Squad

    I purchased the remote start in Best Buy and paid $88 for Geek Squad Installation. After picking up the remote start from the stores, i requested the Customer Service to help me with an appointment to install the system in my car. They asked me to call the Geek Squad team over the phone and get an appointment, while there were bunch of Geek Squad team was available in the stores doing nothing. I called the Geek Squad and to my surprise, they transferred my call to a Auto Tech in the store and i was told that, i have to wait for a month to get it fixed. The reason i was told was very funny. Looks like the Techs are clearing the backlog request since Thanksgiving and i have to wait. They asked me to check other nearby stores, but i did not get any proper response from any of the Best Buy stores in New Jersey (Manalapan, Holmdel, New Brunswick, Edison). Finally I gave up, after trying for a week time to get an appointment, I returned the remote start system, which i got it for a good deal. Best Buy Geek Squad wasted my time and i am never going to shop here.

    Geek Squad installation took 4 hours, so not for the basic DIYer. Window auto-up no longer works. Trunk release causes windows to go down a few inches.

    I dropped off my car, the person was very courteous and explained things. I left for about 6 hours but doesn't take that long, maybe an hour or so. They left a message when it was done, I came back. He explained how to use it and asked if I had any questions.

    Very Poor Customer Service by Geek Squad

    I purchased the Viper Remote Start Kit and also paid $88 for Geek Squad installation. As soon as I picked the item in the stores and I requested to schedule an appointment to fix the system in my Car. I was told that, I have call the stores phone number and fix the appointment and they don't take personal appointment. The next day, I called the stores and after 30 minutes, I spoke to a person who doesn't have any clue about the Geek Squad service plan. I was kept transferring to all the department and finally someone answered that, they appointment open only after 2 months. I tried few other locations and I did not get proper answer regarding the installation and they without even listening to me, they again asked me to purchase geek squad service plan to install, which I already paid for. I sincerely tried for 1 week following up with different stores and no Geek Squad person was able to help me, since they always point finger to the Autotech personal. Finally I gave up and returned the product to the Manalapan, NJ Best Buy where I purchased it. I never expected such a poor paid service from Best Buy Geek Squad. If the installation is free, then may be I have to wait for years. I am a great fan of Best Buy and an Elite Plus member. I got fed up and never gonna come back again.

    Last minute I was redirected to a different location. And due to this I have to cancel some of my important appointments which was already planned ahead of the install schedule. Installation took almost 6 hours (3.5 hours as claimed on the contract) but I was given a heads up prior. At least the installation quality did not suffer. I would recommend this service due to BB's warranty. I guess you'll have less headache in the future.

    I spent time on the phone with the tech picking out a remote start System. I bought that system. I made an appt. A day before the appt I got a call stating they REFUSED to installl on my car. They called another location who agreed to install it, Ridgedale location. 2 hours before my appt I got a call from Ridgedale stating they refused to install it. I took the system back to Riverdale for a refund. The cashier originally only gave me $ for the system (only $129) even though I paid for system AND install!!! I had to have a MOD come over to fix the problem and was finally given a refund for the total of over $300 of what I paid for it. SO DISAPPOINTED IN BEST BUY AND THE WAY THEY DIDNT HANDLE THIS PROPERLY!

    To be honest, my recent best buy experiences have gotten worse each time and it's a shame because best buy used to be my favorite retailer. I ordered the remote start on 11/25 with the expectation that it would be delivered in a few days. Although best buy supposedly shipped it on 11/30, I didn't receive it until 12/19. I called that day to schedule an installation and after repeated calls, I was finally able to schedule an appointment two weeks later on 12/31. A few days prior to my appointment, they call me and tell me that they have to cancel and for me to call them back to make it right. I make multiple phone calls and finally get someone who tells me that I have to wait ANOTHER MONTH!. When I tell them this is unacceptable, they basically say too bad. I understand that their one and only installer was planning on being out sick on New Years Eve (why schedule it then in the first place?), but why do I have to be pushed back an entire month. Wouldn't it be more fair if everyone was pushed back a day or two while their installer recovered from new years eve? It might be spring by the time I get this thing installed

    First attempt in Paducah was a disaster. They had no guy to install and were unfriendly beyond all possibility. I went then to another best buy store and had a pleasant experience. The only problem was that the time of the installation was greatly underestimated and I had to waste hours in a different city waiting for it to be completed. I'm not sure if I buy a car accessory at best buy again.

    They were all very nice to deal with, but were not well versed on their product. My remote starter was starting the car at random. When I went back to Best Buy the tech says, "Oh, we have to make a special setting". Why the heck wasn't that done the first time. NOW, my extra remote does not work and I have to return again. I guess this is what you get when you pay the techs a low wage perhaps.
